It started out as a least favorite thread, then I knew I would be mentioned too many times, and that it would end in a shite slinging contest. Thought I would do something positive instead. It's okay to appreciate every once in a while. The real fun will begin in September.

I've met a few posters at tailgates on here.
It's like y'all are trying to degrade the idea of a message board community while also trying to justify how much time you spend on this message board.

This is a community of people who interact quite often. It's not like a popularity contest (well it is for some, but not most) where we're trying to make best buddies, over time though it's only natural to enjoy others' posts. Not sure why you think it's such a big deal.
And btw, through this board I found a place to live for a year and a half that I otherwise wouldn't have had and it was a big help at that time for me. Posters on this board have taken me in and showed me around at new venues I haven't been, and in turn I've done the same for others that I met solely from this board.
