I thought lavalais was even more of a force than dorsey, that dude was a beast.
Lavalais, Dorsey and Fairley are the 3 that come to mind recently as far as dominant Dlinemen.
John Henderson was in that category if you go back a decade or so

I hated seeing him get hurt. He was Dexter McCluster and Harvin type before those players. He was a great player and his injury was horrendous to watch.

Oh, then I am mistaken. For some reason I thought it was in a game that didn't really matter.

I grew up, obviously loving UGA football. But of my favorite players all time in the SEC, one of them is a Gator.

What you're thinking about is that ua was up by 24 or so and he was hurt in thr 4th quarter on a GO route in the endzone.
Wasn't a meaningless game but sure was a meaningless play.

I am certainly one that will always like Lavalais more. Dorsey was a beast, but it could be I like Lavalais more simply because he was on the 03 team

I agree. DT is my favorite player of my lifetime. As close to "unblockable" as I've ever seen.
Probably the "best" (whatever value you can place on such a subjective term) college football player I ever saw in person, arguably "tied" with Alan Faneca - both players were men among boys in our extremely talented conference.

Derrick Thomas. I started really understanding the game at that point and he was just incredible to watch.
in a close second would be Jarrett Johnson. Glad to see he has had such a successful NFL career

Except when they played AU, I used to love watching "the Duece" (I think his name is David Palmer) play at bama.

Juuulio!! These are so many great athletes, team players and players with great character, but when Julio Jones said, "I'll do whatever they want me to do. I'll punt if that's what they want.", I knew he would always be special to me.
Not only was he a five-star prospect, he was a wide receiver. So that's two things working against his attitude right out of the gate.
But he was a consummate team player.
Definitely one of my favorites
