Stop moving the goalposts. Overall, averaging 1.33 losses over the course of 6 seasons, 1 national title, making the playoff another, and an undefeated season that would have been at least another NC appearance (post season ban), and winning your conference every single year is not falling on your face.
Combine that with what he accomplished at UF and he’s easily the second best coach in college today. And I hate the prick.

How strong is the Big Ten?
Strong enough to gain an autobid to a NY6 bowl with their champion.

UCF won the AAC.....
Will they make the playoff if they win out?

if Ohio State makes the playoffs, do you think they will score a point this time around?
Depends who they play.
Is it still a good feat to make the playoff? or has he fallen flat on his face still?

It’s just such a ridiculous statement. He’s averaging 1.33 losses over 6 seasons yet is a failure. What in the actual hell
At one time I would say he was the second best coach, but that was years ago. Playing in and winning the Big Ten is not that big an accomplishment (or there would have been more Big Ten teams in the playoffs).....

He also had more national titles than total bowl losses while at Florida.
Yes. I said my problem with him is how he left the program, not what he did before which clearly speaks for itself. His last year there was a disaster, and the state of the program when he bailed was even worse. You can see a lot of similar issues creeping into Ohio St present day.

I dislike the guy for how he left Florida, but Urban winning that championship with his third string QB is probably one of the more impressive coaching feats ever.

So let me get this straight- he fell on his face at OSU because the big 10 is weak in your opinion? Despite winning that conference every year?
How does that make sense

If he's using this basically the only good coaches to use in terms of 2nd best are SEC coaches.
Because all other conferences suck.

It sure as hell isn't Kirby

Never mind that Urban (ACC coach) beat Saban (SEC coach) with his 3rd string QB.

I’ll go with Urban. But he is trending down. Dabo is trending up but he needs a couple more NC to overtake Urban

No to the quote above.

Dabo, Saban, Leach, Patterson, Matt Campbell, guy @ Purdue plus Fitz @ Northwestern are all in my top 10. I'm impressd with Kirby's grasp of who the good assistants are and the way his staff get's after it. Watching his offensive edge people block in two straight games was impressive. They get a body on everybody. But we'll see. He is a world champion recruiter. Leach is a freaking genius.

The real question is what the perception of guys like Richt, Dabo, Kirby, etc would be if Saban wasn't around.

Look the question was asked who was the second best coach in the nation. Given the last 4 years, Dabo has overtaken Meyer. Clemson has been in the playoffs the last 3 years, the finals twice, and beat Ohio State 31-0 two years ago, Ohio State has been in the playoffs once in those three years. If you do not like facts, go elsewhere. Meyer may have been the second best coach years ago, but not now.
Also, the Big Ten has won 3 national titles in football since 1970. Easy to win in that league.
