Also 2004 Auburn has a legit claim for a shared championship.

Someone says this every time someone starts a "Real UT" thread.
How do Tennessee fans think this helps your argument?
You had a head start, and still, you are academically and athletically inferior to the University of Texas.
I am open to a rational discussion but you need to avoid aggie logic.

UT has a fraction of the resources available to UTa. It would be embarrassing for Texas if they didn’t have superior academics.

If they claim it, it counts.

Sure thing, buddy.

You’re reaching bad. I know you want anything to get Tennessee caught up to at least Minnesota’s 4 poll era titles. But for now, you’ll need to settle with 1951 and 1998.
1938, 1950, 1967 are secured elsewhere.
OU doesn’t have any need to reach. Six outright and one shared national title is fine and dandy.

UCF literally claims a National Championship for 2017 with reasoning, that at a cursory level, makes a lot of sense. Should you also count theirs?

Sorry bud, 11-0 natty champs! Good on OU for not claiming ‘73 though, they have no claim. Obviously I wish UT wouldn’t claim 2 of their 6 which are Bama level claims.

It does not.

It does. They were undefeated and beat the team that beat both participants in that years National Championship game.
And as a little bonus fyi, Oklahoma was named National Champion in 1950 after the season, before the bowl game was played. Back then bowl games were viewed merely as exhibition games, much like the Pro Bowl, and had now barring on who the National Champion for that particular season was. Hope that helps clear everything up.

Glad we could clear that up. I understand you’re frustrated that UT has 1 more national championship than UF.

It seems this graphic shows the Gators with the advantage.

There’s no need to be upset.

If I am not mistaken, Bevo is a steer. For all you non-cattle folks, that means he has had his balls removed. In other words, teasip worships a castrated bovine. Even funnier is the fact that Bevo is owned and cared for by an Aggie.

Texas wouldn't be a state if not for the men from Tennessee.
I always get a laugh whenever someone says that. Let's me know I am not the dumbest person on this board.
Texas was it's own nation before it became a state. Most everyone in Texas at that time was from somewhere else except for the native indians and some of the Mexican citizens. The reason they were there is because wherever they were from SUCKED so bad they wanted to go to Texas instead live in the US. That is a fact.
The "men from Tennessee" were so sick and tired of 10RC that they would rather go fight the Mexican Army than return to Tennessee. The "men from Tennessee" made up less than 10% of the Texian army. There is no evidence in the history books that states that Texas never would have become a state had it not been for the "men from Tennessee" who could not stand living in Tennessee anymore. Thanks to those men who gave the ultimate sacrifice for Texas.
After the Mexican army and Santa Anna were defeated, Texas became its own nation from 1836 until 1845. In 1845, Texas became the 28th state when it was annexed into the US.

It's surprising that so many fools don't understand that a uterus is the womb and part of the female reproductive system. That image is the entire system.
A uterus rarely performs it's purpose and is usually empty, it's best reflected by the Texas A&M "Hall of Champions".

I care more about going down to Gainesville and finally beating them there. We haven't done that since 2003. 2015 and 2017 were soul-crushing.
