Pump the brakes about what? Myles Brennan is a beast in all terms that don't include one Joseph Burrow. Without Joe Burrow, Myles would easily be considered the best quarterback to play for LSU in the last 30-40 years.
LSU may not win another title for 2020 but they damn sure will be in a heated battle for the top 4 spots in December.

This is pretty bad I’ll give you that. Most LSU fans were expecting 8-2 in the spring, 7-3 after the fall opt outs. That was obviously optimistic as well but I don’t think you’ll find many who were picking worse than 7-3 anywhere outside of BR either.

None of us thought he would replace Burrow - that's impossible. I thought Myles would have a good arm and be accurate, but I was extremely underwhelmed through our first 3 games of last season

Come on man, this is the rant. There were a handful of LSU fans who said this. You know it goes, same thing happened with us and Newman. Bryce Young. He's fifth in preseason Vegas Heisman odds and has barely played a down.
I'm more prepared for a first year similar to Spencer Rattler's with a lot of ups and downs. New OC plus a big drop-off at receiver will make it hard to live up to Tua/Mac Jones level expectations.
