First what would it take for Sumlin to keep his job
9 wins and a victory over LSU

In 2018 who would you like to be head Aggy
A. Chad Morris
B. Kevin Sumlin
C. Gary Kubiak
D. Chip Kelly
E. Sonny Dykes
F. Art Briles

If Kubiak's health problems are resolved I wonder if he would help out his alma mater. He would be the only one on the list that would make the SEC and the whorns shite

No. We need a defense-first head coach.

Isn't he a Texas outsider

I know CU isn't know for paying their coaches but at his age you think he would leave a sure thing for a job that he may end up being fired from in 3 years

Maybe. Let's see how he finishes.

B. Kevin Sumlin

God no.

C. Gary Kubiak

Feels like Mike Sherman all over again.

D. Chip Kelly

No defense, don't care.

That's a bad thing? "Texas insiders" haven't exactly worked out for us in the recent past, especially those with ties to A&M.

Mack Brown said he would be interested in returning if it was the right job

He could be the new Dana X Bible in reverse.

If not Brown than how about Les Miles

I would actually love to see another LSU ex coach just beat their brains in some more

I agree. I think more of a smash mouth type HC would do wonders with y'all. The Aggies certainly aren't short of talent.

D.X. Bible at A&M: 72-19-9 (10 seasons)

D.X. Bible at t.u.: 63-31-3 (10 seasons)

Significant dropoff between team 1 and team 2

A&M hired him from LSU after he served as interim head coach for 3 games

Interim Head Coach =/= Head Coach.

Just like John L. Smith wasn't really Arkansas' head coach in 2012. He was just a placeholder.

Point being will A&M act like UTjr this offseason and pull a new head coach off the scrap heap

The people in Knoxville have this Bob Stoops in that nasty fluorescent orange in 2018 dream

I wonder will A&M go the same direction and pull out a Les Miles.

Les Miles has been silent so far on what direction he is heading. Maybe he is waiting for Harbaugh to exit stage right back to the NFL after this season.
I actually think Miles with this Texas, Louisiana and Florida connections can do wonders at a SEC school.
Nothing wrong with LSU but I do not believe their players are of the right mind to run a Michigan type offense.

You'd be smart to pursue Craig Bohl at Wyoming but his age might be a small negative. Dude turned NDST into a power and now he's turning around Wyoming.

It took him until year 3 to make Wyoming a winning program. It took him 4 years to make NDSU a winner. I don't know if the texags mob has the patience for that.

Think about what you just typed: 4 years to turn an FCS program into an FBS giant killer and multiple year FCS national champion. And in only 3 years he took doormat Wyoming with zero recruiting base and a backwater program to a bowl.
The man can coach. And aTm doesn't need resurrecting as much as it just needs fixing. I doubt it would take 3-4 years.
