Before I take all your money...

You might want to look up Michigan in 1989.

You realize the first time Buzz made the NIT at aTm was with WT. Without WT aTm was not in any tournament.

Dude we only lost like 3 conference games that year and we’re sent to the NIT. Maybe add how weak the SEC was 2 years ago. This year, teams with 6 conference wins got in.

The Ivey thing makes no sense. If he is so great why isn't he running his own program already? I appreciate him as a player but don't want. That's the type of thinking that stuck us with Terry.

We have enough money and interest to get a proven coach.

I don’t know dude. Royal Ivey has been in the NBA coaching for over a decade. It’s more of a, would it translate to college ball thing imo.

Don't forget many former players came out in support of Terry. And because those guys are known for great decision making that helped push him over the top.

And where are they now?

Cal isn't going to Texas where basketball is going to be second tier.

Can you point to another time in the history of college basketball that an interim HC won their conference championship and lead the team to at least the elite 8, and was replace after the season?

Can you point to a time in history Texas was ever considered an elite basketball program? Your coach said it best, no Texas coach has ever done worse than he has, you just have real competition now and can’t control the officials.

When the lowly Aggies are 5th in the conference but ranked in the top 15. Your arse is toast if you’re Texas and you’re going with the traditional Texas win rates.

In the Big12 you would have been a 3 or a 4 seed.

Welcome to the SEC. Go fire your coach and start your cemetery interviews.

Cal isn't going to Texas, or anywhere else. I'm 99% certain Arkansas will be his last coaching stop.

I'm just glad Will Wade is off the board and not coming into the SEC. Wade at Texas would've been a huge get, sucks for them they missed out but the rest of us should be happy

For the first time that I can think in program history, the Arkansas basketball coach is getting paid more than the football coach.

That is the way Cal wanted it. If his basketball program wasn't treated as number one on the hill then he wasn't coming.

So Arkansas had to make a decision. Give Cal everything he needs and put basketball above football or continue letting basketball be second to football in everything.

The decision was easy, dump most of the money into basketball.

They don’t fricking know who Will Wade is aside from what we’ve told them. They just know he’s an LSU coach with baggage and that baggage will print bad media. They let the best Coach available this hiring cycle walk.

He isn't going to any school that doesn't make basketball the top priority.

Who is on the Texas short list for basketball coach?

Nate Oats - Alabama
McCollum - Drake
Tommy Lloyd - Arizona
Sean Miller - Xavier

Hearing rumors that the SEC didn't want Wade to coach in the SEC. Not sure if they can do that or not, but interesting if true, and it would make sense as everyone believes he would have been a good fit in Austin

They have zero Chance with Cal. His wife is already loving Arkansas and they could only match what we pay for NIL.

Chance of Cal leaving Arkansas except for retirement are 0. Plus Texas doesn’t care about basketball. Their fans are pathetic
