I think it's only a rivalry if both sides agree it is...Bama isn't LSU's rival because most Bama people don't see it that way, just as LSU's rival is no longer Ole Miss

Precisely. I was raised to hate Bama above all else, but that doesn't mean they hate us back equally. In fact I know they don't. Auburn will always have that special place in their heart, and vice versa.
It's only a rivarly if the hatred is reciprocated.

Their resturaunts sell corndogs as "LSU Special" and when we come to Tuscaloosa they put signs up over the interstate welcoming us. Sounds like a rivalry to me.

I dont know, I just dont see it. Ole Miss winning two years in a row doesnt make it a rivalry. And I dont think LSU fans have the hatred the older generation did for Ole Miss.

That's what I'm saying. I am a student and nobody in my generation cares about ole miss until the week we play them. The last two years are outliers. Overall they pose no threat to us winning the west. You can disagree with me it you've been around longer or whatever, but I'm telling you the mentality of the current student body and generation: we don't care about ole miss.
Florida, bama, auburn. Those are who we care about. But you still can't call any of those a true rivalry.
