Yes, just starting. Monroe county here also, Peterman area. Four of us hunting the last few days and taken an 8, a 9 and a 10. Best movement all year but they're still not in full chase mode.
Truly hope you don't have the water issue but 2 of the 4 I put out had the battery compartment filled with water (I've never had that happen on any camera before). After seeing two other people with the same problem I figured it had to be an inherent problem so that and no battery indicator made it a no brainer to return them all including the ones I hadn't put out yet and spend the extra bucks on the older M-880i. Either way, good luck.
OleBallCoach...I'd advise against the new Moultrie models, especially the A-7i. I've just sent seven back that I bought. There is apparently a high chance for the units to leak rain into the battery compartment. I had a couple units out and when I went to check them I opened the battery compartment to pull the card and water flowed out ruining everything. Others are having the same issue.

Also before I bought them I assumed they would have a battery indicator like every other old Moultrie model but they do not so you don't know if you need to replace the batteries. You could change the card, restart it and it die shortly after and you have no pics until your next check.

Best bet is the older models that I've had lots of luck with including the M-880i which can still be found.
Been using Scoutlook the last two seasons and I love it, especially the wind cone feature. It changed how I hunt the wind and specific stands significantly. Never heard of HuntStand but I'll have to check it out.

Commercial Real Estate Lenders

Posted by alexanderjcoop on 11/7/13 at 12:57 am
My wife has leased her office for the last two years as we've looked for commercial lots or buildings to purchase. We think we've found a location and now I'm looking for lenders to shop who handle owner occupied commercial real estate.

It seems it is much more limited in variety than traditional residential mortgages I assume due to increased risk thus the greater down payment % and higher interest rates.

I've found Wells Fargo and PNC to be two of the larger ones. Any recommendations on others or advice for the process since we've never dealt with commercial property before?

Think this one thru...there is no reason to think this kid won't be signing his LOI in 2015...this guy has the screen name "Mullen". He wants a ban bet that is fulfilled in two years knowing full well he'll have changed his screen name by that point with Mullen being ran off after the 2013 and 2014 seasons. Pretty confident he is already working on his alter...

re: Just bought a LC9

I have the LC9 with Crimson Trace and bought this one for IWB Link but I rarely use it.

Also bought this one LINK for the small of the back with the Slide Guard and use it regularly as well as using it as my front pocket holster. I really like it and it is well made.

I ordered one from here LINK 5 weeks ago and haven't gotten it yet. He says he is a one man operation and he has a long wait time (up to 4 months) depending on your options and customization. I can't tell you if will be worth the wait but the long wait and lack of email responses I'm not holding out much hope. His back pocket holster looks like a good design and the back panel can be taken off for front pocket carry. We'll see...good luck.
If you have the choice drive your own and get them to pay you the government rate for the mileage you drive. We had this option for years before forcing everyone into a company car.

Driving your own and getting reimbursed allows you to stay out of an uncomfortable mid-priced company car, usually basic and drive your own, hopefully more comfortable model at a truly fair rate. I hate company cars :

Online Broker Recommendations?

Posted by alexanderjcoop on 5/1/13 at 1:12 am
Looking to open a trading account not tied to my current 401k and retirement accounts. No large sums just 5k to start and simply buying company stocks I have an interest in. I only expect to conduct a few trades per month on average.

Keys for me are low trade cost, no account maintenance fees and a good iPhone and/or iPad app for trading. This is the best comparison resource I've found so far Barron's

I'm looking at Scottrade, Etrade and TD Ameritrade...any others? Any to avoid?

Any experience with the iPhone/iPad apps? I can't get a read on who has the best one...

Thanks for the advice.

not sure but do know there is no ccw class here. just get fingerprinted and pay the $132 and wait 45 days for license. we do have an enhanced carry class though i would advise getting. that way you have no restrictions except federal buildings

Haven't carried in a while and let mine lapse but just bought a LC9 with the Crimson Trace (wife got one as well) so we went down to the sheriff's office here in Mobile and were out within 15 minutes with the full hard plastic picture ID's for like $25 each. In today's environment I was expecting lots of change but it was great!

re: Harvesting timber on 20 acres

Hammertime, I'm hoping to thin some property for the first time this year. One 40 acres parcel of mixed, mostly pine is probably past due at around 20 years old. Another 80 acre parcel is probably in need of a few years more growth, at least the majority but I'd like it done where needed.

I use the land for hunting and want to cut to maximize this aspect honestly more than the profit gained. Do you run into this often (I assume you are a forester)? Do you have any advice? I have a list of foresters in my area (Monroe County, AL) but no clue who to hire as the consultant. Should I use someone who consults only or someone employed by a timber/logging company? I'd really like a forester to give me the truth and recommendations on loggers who can do the thinning to maximize my hunting and cause the least amount of headaches and issues...also if you have someone you'd recommend in my area they would be my first call! TIA!

re: Berretta CX4 Storm In Stock

Posted by alexanderjcoop on 3/27/13 at 5:43 pm
Yeah, outside of the "Storm" branding I think there are a number of differences. The mags for this model are interchangeable only with the 92 series as far as I can tell so the PX4 isn't the key companion pistol.

Forgot to add as well that Slickguns has a $30 coupon code off this model so your net cost after shipping is just over $850.

Just a heads up for anyone interested...Grabagun has the 9mm model in stock. Definitely not the prices from a few years ago but under $900 and much lower than the other sites.

I ordered one today, first time every ordering a firearm online so I hope it goes smoothly.

I wanted it just as a fun gun to shoot. Anyone have any experience with them?

ATV dealers sell some higher quality ones usually but they are more expensive. I have this one API Outdoors and it hasn't held up to well. The metal mesh has begun to rust and break away due to carrying weight in the drop down area.

Granted it is on one of the 4 wheelers that takes a lot of abuse from general camp work and maintenance...

How do they have so many models in stock?

They aren't in stock. The only one in stock is the overpriced Bushmaster. If you click on any of the others it will say, not available...

Bushmaster for $1300. No thanks

If it was $1300 before they've now bumped it to $1400...I can't wait for this frenzy to slow down. I can't imagine this could be the new normal. At least I hope it's not!
Thanks for the heads up! Bought both the load out bag and the matching duffle/backpack style and you save $10 so it netted out to $99 for both plus free shipping. Sweet deal! Other site had a ridiculous price for both for over $800.
