Doesn’t matter what coach they have. Arkansas will never pull consistent top tier talent. They’ll pull the occasional 5 star here and there, but not many top prospects want to go there.

Arkansas fans will downvote me into oblivion, but it’s just the truth.

Over the years I've been yoyo'ing anywhere from 270-320's. Around December 20th or so I decided it was time for change. Got on the scale and was blown away...325. holy shite. So I started going to the gym with a good friend from work and doing cardio every morning. I've been skipping breakfast and drinking a go lean shake for lunch. At night I've been alternating between grilled chicken or steak. Sometimes seafood. With vegetables and snack on mozzarella cheeses sticks. I'm trying to do a combo of keto and intermittent fasting. Seems to be working. As of this morning I was down to 311. Still a fatass but headed in the right direction. BTW I'm not looking at this as a diet. This is a life change. No more Beer, pizza, pasta, etc. Just lean meat and veggies from here on out. My goal weight is 225 and I'll re-assess the situation from there.

Norvell will be the head coach at Arkansas next season. Book it

Wish he was here now. Its gonna be tough to watch when Norvell beats Ole Miss week 1 then we lose to them in Week 2. Yikes.

I don't think anyone thinks that. I do think a good coach/recruiter can consistently recruit around 20th here given time to establish himself and that 7-8 wins every year with the occasional 9-10 in up years and 5-6 in down years is reasonable.

The problem we've had is that our recruiting yo-yo's all over the place - Petrino signed the highest class we've ever had in 2009 that finished 16th but followed it up with a class in the 40's. Pretty sure under Bielema we were top 5 in the SEC in amount of players drafted from like 2014-2016 but it never resulted in wins on the field. We had talent just never took advantage of it. But the last two years we've had probably the worst talent in the league.

So your view of our program is that we top out where Mississippi State is now?

Norvell would have gotten his arse waxed last year just like Chad, and this topic would still exist.

I know we dig at each other all the time, in good-natured fun ( for the most part), but PLEASE make breakfast your largest meal of the day.

I know what I say means nothing to you, but do yourself a favor and consult a qualified nutritionist. ..I'm certain they'll tell you the same thing.

In any event, I wish you the best in your quest.

No it wouldn't. Because Norvell is a proven coach. Chad is not.

Big difference.

So was Bielema. Norvell just picked up a program that Fuente built. Success at once place doesn’t guarantee success at another.
