Based on these resumes, a reasonable person should come to the following conclusions:
1. LSU easily has the best overall resume, winning vs Oregon, @ West Virginia, and @ Alabama. LSU dominated 10 of the 12 teams it faced.
2. LSU should be ranked the highest of the three teams
3. Alabama throttled Arkansas, and played a tougher schedule than the Hogs, winning @ Penn State. Alabama dominated 11 of the 12 teams it faced.
4. Alabama should be ranked 2nd highest of the three teams
5. Arkansas, by default, should be ranked 3rd highest of the three teams. Arkanasas dominated 5 of the 12 teams it faced.
This was my basic line of thinking. Plus, as I already said, the struggling against Vandy and Ole Miss drops them as well. Along with the comeback they had to have against TAMU...the team just doesn't seem as dominant as the other two.

how many years are you pulling these scores from?
The Arky-MSU score isn't from last year. They had to take us to DOT to beat us

I just threw out my projection of the possible score.
Hey, I think you guys will beat Alabama and/or Arky and all this conversation will be moot, but under this discussion I had to assume Bama/Arky wins over State.

I did not post that, but I can give you my idea on why I would not put Alabama's resume above LSU or Arkansas if we all end up tied.
It is pretty simple......Alabama got both LSU & Arkansas at home. Arkansas will have had to go on the road to both, while LSU had to go on the road to Alabama.
what about alabama beating arkansas like a drum?

I think something that also hurts Arkansas is that while Alabama and LSU have been dominating EVERYONE, Arkansas has squeaked by in many of their games (A&M,Ole Miss,Vandy).

Last time I checked, a 50 point win and a 1 point win still both = 1 win.

I agree with that, but it is irrelevant considering all three teams would have 11 wins. You have to look elsewhere to differentiate (sp?) between the three IMO.

You want to base these rankings off one game? Okay then, I would put Arkansas over LSU b/c Arky would have a win over LSU on the road.
I think you're trolling, but I'll bite anyway.
You've played bama and were beat. Beat bad. Really bad. Y'all took your QB out of the game it was so bad. yet you're ranking Arkansas ahead of them?

First of all, Arkansas won't beat LSU. I don't know if any of you Hog fans remember what happened on September 24th, but expect something similar when your Hogs play LSU.
If, and that's a huge if, Arkansas can upset LSU, there's no reason to argue over this. The two best teams in the country are Alabama and LSU. Arkansas is good, but they're hardly great and certainly don't deserve a chance at the BCSNCG.

yes, you differentiate by seeing that ark had to go on the road to bama and lsu, while bama had ark and lsu at home.
why when deciding whether to put bama or ark 2nd does head to head matter? were ranking resumes
1. lsu
2. ark
3. bama

Arkansas was a different team against Bama then what it will be against LSU. Our best RB, Dennis Johnson, was not 100% against Bama and only got 3 carries. Our 2 starting DE's, Bequette and Wright, did not play, which really thinned out our D-line. Our offensive line was facing its first real test with 3 new starters, one being a true freshman.
Since the Bama game, Dennis Johnson has gotten healthy and has been provided an actual threat in the running game. Bequette is back and is looking like his old self, and our other starting DE Wright should be back this weekend. Our offensive line has gotten better, only giving up one sack last week against a formidable USC d-line and creating running lanes for Johnson.

Shutup. If your 6 million dollar coach could field a decent field goal kicker or score one fricking TD in a game that went to OT on his own field, we wouldn't be having this conversation. You're just a butthurt gump who needs to realize Bama is an Arkansas win over LSU away from going back to the Citrus Bowl.

@ #3 Alabama L 38-14
@ Ole Miss W 29-24
@ Vanderbilt W 31-28
@ #1 LSU
Seriously?
Arkansas has played about as poorly on the road as ANYONE in this conference.
November 25 does NOT bode well for them.

You can honestly say after Bama kicked that arse and you struggled to beat Ole Miss and Vandy that anyone in the country would rank you higher than Bama if this scenario played out? If this scenario plays out Bama is probably #2 in the BCS going into the conference championship games assuming Stanford loses somewhere along the way.
btw.. this scenario is not going to happen because there is about a .00000000000000001% chance Arkansas can stay close much less upset LSU.

If we dominate our final three opponents like this scenario suggests you actually think you would jump Bama in any poll if you somehow upset LSU?
