I wouldn't classify Auburn as a heavyweight... not in any way.

It wasn't a question of who the more consistent winner was. I never said that and Alabama fans never specified they wanted to see that. They wanted to see why I thought LSU was more consistent. Well there it is.

You stated bama had a greater likelihood because LSU is more consistent. Despite your stats being incorrect, deviation from the average means nothing towards the op.

Your chart has nothing to do with averages? Do you understand the graph?

1. My stats are not incorrect. You don't like them but they are correct. Those are the games as they occured in the record books.

2. Once again, the overall variation has nothing to do with averages, only the season directly preceding a given season. No averages are involved.

Damn, I should have gone for a moronic rant answer. No one would have given me shite.

Leme try again:

LSU will have the first losing season out of the two because Les Miles is crazy and eats grass.

Is that better?

Show me the averages on the graphs because I made them and I'm not seeing them.

They show variations in wins from the previous season, those are the spikes you see. The baseline is the preceding season, not an average.

Saban didn't have LSU at the level he has Alabama at right now.

Just so I get this correct, when there is a zero, that means same record as previous season?

Well your numbers are wrong or your interpretation is, and that's with me just checking two years.

05 and 06, those were the only two I checked and both were wrong

06 your number is zero, they had 6 wins that year and 10 the previous. For 05 you had -6 and they had 6 wins in 04,

Vacated wins which I already addressed and I know you didn't like the answer.

I get it and your opinion has some merit. I didn't count them. If you would like to then by all means go ahead but the difference between LSU and Alabama's variation totals was, IIRC, wide enough that those wins shouldn't affect it.

Bama has a greater history of variation - they are more likely to take radical swings in either direction than LSU. Since they're both winning the only way for them to go is down.

Those "radical swings" have occurred twice. In the 1950s and early 2000s. You've managed to try and argue that Alabama, a program with nearly 100 more all-time wins, far more 10 win seasons, bowl appearances, conference titles, and national titles is "less consistent". Impressive troll.
