I say Muschamp, but if he loses to FSU then Sumlin.

Sumlin proved everyone in the country wrong this year.

Freeze is a solid choice too but they need to make a bowl.

Freeze. Ole Miss is going to be much better with him. They could have a few more wins this year if they knew how to win (and they are learning). No quit in that team.

some solid work done by some coaches in the SEC this year

Freeze, I am impressed
Franklin has vandy on a compete every year basis
Boom has UF where they should be on normal basis
and Sumlin coming into the conference and handling biz
I would consider Miles too. Lost TM7, OL injuries, LB injuries vs UF, new QB, 15 freshman seeing time, team could have fallen apart a couple times this year and he's held it together under pressure the others don't deal with IMO

solid candidates but I bet Freeze

Tie between Franklin and Freeze because of how much Freeze has been able to do with his depleted roster. If Franklin wins out, then Franklin gets the nod.

might be right

if OM can get into a bowl though, you'd have to say Freeze cause that team last year was Auburn this year

Sumlin. Man is about to go 11-2 and finish in the top 5 as a first year coach/team in the SEC West and beat Bama at home. Freeze would be second, but if they lose this weekend they won't even make a bowl game...so....meh.

Franklin would be 3rd...Vandy is still irrelevant nationally and in their division, but winning 8 games at Vandy is a minor miracle. If Bama wins natty #3 in the past four years, you would have to consider Saban especially since he had to rebuild the whole defense this year....but that's a big if with a good UGA team looming IMO.

Joker Philips for successfully getting UK fans even more excited about basketball.

That's a tough task.

This thread is a joke.. how can anyone not consider Saban he is on the verge of winning 4 crystal ball after he demolishes UGA. He had a minor slip up again A&M.. then he got back into the race.

If UGA wins the SEC, then it should go to Mark Richt.

If Bama wins it, then I'd give it to Kevin Sumlin.

He's done more with less.

I like Freeze and think he has them on the right track BUT this is a team that may not go to a bowl game. Hard to give it to him if they miss a bowl.

Franklin or Sumlin both are great choices and I'd be fine with either winning.

My vote goes to Hugh Freeze.

Ole Miss went 2-10 last season and now he has them one win away from being bowl eligible.

I like this but even I think it should probably go to Summlin aka Johnny fricking Football Dickrider

Any of the 4 would be deserving. Saban hasn't overachieved with his current team at all, so he is out.

My rankings would go:

1)Sumlin - 1st year at A&M, new conference, started off unranked. It helped that they found Johnny Football waiting in the wings. Not sure how much coaching goes into him.
2) Muschamp - Only 2nd year as a HC, started at the bottom of the polls, toughest schedule in the country, great halftime adjustments, needs to beat FSU.
3) Franklin - Winning at Vandy. Maybe he should be #1 on that alone.
4) Freeze - Completely changed the makeup of Ole Miss. Would be higher on the list if they could have sealed the deal on a couple big ones that got away. ie A&M and LSU.
