I've found Chicago drivers to be pretty nice, overall. There are far too many of them, and the streets and highways being so crowded leads to problems, but the drivers themselves try to collaborate, let you merge (if they can), and not do super-aggressive shite.

I left Texas quite a few years ago, but in my limited experience there, there is not one single Texas driver who will EVER admit even the possibility of there being another vehicle within 10 miles. Completely oblivious to anything but their own whims, at all times and all places.
