While you were playing VA tech we played Ohio state.

And if you had beaten Ohio State I could see a legit argument for yall making it as a 3 loss team if say one of your atrocious Kentucky or state games go the other way. This is the benefit they can provide

If Vandy beats a ranked Tennessee in Knoxville there is no way Texas should leap frog is. If that happens this committee is a joke.

^^This. I obviously don't want Vandy to win against us but if it happens Vandy should be in the playoffs. I will riot with you if you get left out.

That’s right. A National Championship team would have won that Ohio State game.

In fact, typically, a National Championship team wins all their games.

Now, we got a bunch of trash bitches crying for Mulligans.

Thanks, Alabama!

We would have beated 1 loss atm and 2 loss ou, both top 10 teams. Name a better resume of the 2 loss teams and below?

We are going to not agree here. I doubt think a committee should reward teams for playing cupcakes and just look at W-L records period, especially those who made no attempt to schedule a decent team.

Honest question if Texas plays Purdue, Syracuse, or Va Tech and is 10-2 are we having this discussion? No, which is why if I’m an AD I’m getting rid of future matchups as there is no point if this is how the committee views the OOC schedules

The committee puts things in groups. Naturally, Texas won’t be part of the two-loss group. Maybe not fair for them but that is politics.

No chance ND misses the playoffs at 10-2.

None.

Tech doesn't win the big 12
Bama wins the SEC

Those two things and everything else chalk, keeps ND out.

We could go round and round. I can find a bad loss on almost everyone’s schedule that’s a 2 loss team.

Point is Texas plays a weak OOC opponent like more than half of the top 25 and the way are in period.

Good teams accountable for a shite OOC or stop scheduling them

ND is in because of who they are. You should learn to accept that. Texas had a shot before UGA demolished them even with three losses. Falling to seventeen behind a bunch of two loss teams weeks just a few weeks before the end of the season?

They need a LOT of 10-2 teams to lose or they have to win the SECCG. Have to get there first

Sitting at home with three losses and they have zero chance. Three losses and the SEC championship and they would be in.

Why are you assuming yall best A&M? If you had played no one week 1 yall would still have 2 losses. Losing next week still puts yall out. Yall would’ve been in a far better position with OSU on your schedule and having beat them, not getting skull fricked by UGA, and allowing yourself an actual argument as a 3 loss team

Yeah if only there was a way we could match up Vandy and Texas to see who is better/ deserves to be in.

I just don't see Vandy or Texas making it...Michigan will shoot past both

In fact, I could see Michigan jumping Alabama, moving Alabama to #11

Now this is going to bend people's minds. Does this mean Alabama is out? NO. They would have to win the SEC Championship game to be in.

Also, who goes to the Big 10 Championship game in this scenario? Indiana vs.

And I still think Miami will jump Utah and possibly BYU to be THE team on the bubble. Vandy and Texas aren't getting past Miami...unless they lose to Pitt of course

Michigan only makes the Big 10 game with the upset if WA upsets Oregon I think.

TX will have a lot better wins resume and one loss was taking that hard out of conference game. I think TX would pass Vandy myself.

Texas has 3 losses and were destroyed by Georgia. Vandy’s two losses on the road and competitive. I rest my case.

I used to think that in the eyes of the committee, if there is a question of who gets in, the potential ratings would be the deciding factor. Alabama getting passed over last year crushed that belief.

I think the committee generally doesn't want to punish any team for losing an extra conference game and only wants to reward winners of those games but if TT was to really crush BYU again they might do it.
