Fun Fact ... like a lot of the SEC - go look up your record without Steve Spurrier. If "I don't care how bad it hurts, I need a Championship now ?". Then take a shot at Bobby Petrino.

Boss - Florida was never a world beater - before Steve Spurrier.

Proves how good a coach CUM was to be able to win there.

Ole Miss keeps Kiffin. Got his whole family in Oxford, has plenty of money, and he and school like each other.

If he leaves, it won't be because of money.

It'll be because he wants to win a natty.

Kiffin is simultaneously “never gonna win big” and also a candidate for every “blue blood” program in the country whenever there’s an opening.

Yet he will still be coaching at Ole Miss next season. It’s a rebuilding year for us btw.

LSU can't afford BK's buyout AND then pay for a top tier coaching staff, not this year anyway and probably not next year either

I have no idea how deep Ole Miss pockets are but if it really came down to a bidding war I'd think Florida has a bigger purse.

But I agree, Kiffin's likely to stay put this year.

I love this one. Because a lane didn’t “win in Athens” that “reminds” him that he can’t win a title at Ole Miss…..there are some stupid people on the internet.

Do Ole Miss fans really believe he can win a title in Oxford?

You didn't watch his post game press conference obviously.

Ole Miss needs to win and get to the playoffs this year and Lane won't go anywhere.

Yes.

But it isn't what we believe that matters. It is what Lane believes that matters.

As long as he thinks he can realistically compete for SEC titles in Oxford, he will stay.

We were up 2 scores at UGA in the fourth quarter yesterday. 2 years back they beat us 52-17 in a game that wasn't that close. Our program is in a very good place.

I'm not an Ole Miss fan - but he absolutely can.

Because the center-point of the best football athletes in the United States is not Central Texas. Nor is it Florida. Nor Ohio or Pennsylvania.

Its that area from Southern Mississippi to NorthEast Texas and Upstate Louisiana and South Alabama and that weird strip of Florida Panhandle.

Look at how many other SEC rosters are full of Mississippi kids. Now imagine if most of them stayed home.

This is what Saban realized about LSU. Pre Saban LSU was awful
