My pick - I'm going with the Great Pretender, Sunbelt Billy

I wish it would be Jimbo, but I think Florida will beat us to it

Not going to be Jimbo. Not because he isn't the most deserving... it's because of the obscene buyout.

His agent must get a good laugh every Saturday.

Jimbo will finish out his full ten years. Aggies are a forgiving bunch.

Serious question. How did Old Sunbelt pull off that big contract??? The guy really had no track record in Power 5, much less so in the SEC. His only success came from beating teams like Arkansas St and South Alabama during the Covid year. Not only that, he came from a hyphen school

Unfortunately I think he is safe through the end of 2025.

With inflation running like it is his buyout gets cheaper and cheaper though....

Sunbelt Billy, for sure.

Hell, he needs to steal one from Missouri, LSU or FSU just to reach bowl eligibility.

The ONLY reason Jimbo didn't get fired last year is because of that ridiculous contract. Napier is only guaranteed another year to turn things around.

Napier has made some improvements. He may not be the man, I doubt he is, but he was hired and deserves a chance to be successful. All anyone needs to do is to look toward Tennesssee and Auburn to see what changing coaches like their dirty drawers will get you.

Dumbo, on the other hand, should have been fired before he was hired. Anyone who did not see what he had done to FSU and what he was going to do at ATM is a fool or foolishly optimistic. He is a con man and a thief and possibly more of an idiot than Jeremy Pruitt....but the bastard is gonna get paid so he ain't as dumb as the ATM folks who hired his sorry arse...

Which is why our AD is a moron for scheduling 2 P5 OOC (kudos to UGA and SCar for being the only other SEC teams to do that regularly).

Napier was always guaranteed at least 4 years.

He has a good recruiting cycle going, UF can't afford to lose that. He's here through 2025 barring a McElwain death threat style self-firing.

Fisher signed a 10-year, fully guaranteed contract extension in 2021 that will pay him $95 million through 2031.

Here is Fisher's buyout if he is fired at the conclusion of each season:

• 2023: $76,800,000
• 2024: $67,550,000
• 2025: $58,200,000
• 2026: $48,750,000
• 2027: $39,200,000

He's getting at least 1 more year for sure. If he can keep recruiting at a high enough level than at least the cupboard won't be bare and he'll be another Zook.

I know the schedule next year is ridiculous but I don't think he's guaranteed a 4th year especially if he doesn't hire an OC.

If A&M fired Jimbo right now they'd only owe 25% up front. So he gets $19.8 mil now and then $7.2 mil a year through 2031.

May be too early to praise his recruiting this much. Zook's 2003 recruiting slate was one for the ages.
