I think an injury to Jeff Scott and Mark Dodson has a chance.

Other than that, the easy choice is Robert Nkemdiche. Looks SEC ready.

Tray Matthews has an outside shot, though I think it'll be hard for a freshman safety to win it.

Depending on how Leonard Floyd checks in over summer, he has the frame and tools to be a beast OLB. Only problem are the guys entrenched ahead of him on the depth chart.

Jonathan Taylor will be a stand-out Redshirt Freshman on the line, but it'll be hard for a 3-4 DE to garner enough statistics to really wow folks.

Can't wait to watch him play.

Some of my first/best football memories are of Fred tearing the field up back in the day.

For UF, I would add McMillian.

Tray Matthews has a chance since he'll be starting day one and will be a responsible version of Alec Ogletree.

I doubt he can win it from his position, but I think this kid is going to be a beast.

IMO he has the best chance because he will actually start. The rest of the freshman will be backups and get some playing time.

Maybe McMillian if he can beat out Taylor and Kitchens for weak side LB

Probably no one.

Maybe Ed Pope or JaQuay Williams but I doubt it. We should have a DT start as a true fish too but I wouldn't count on him being FPOY

Is there a Redshirt Sophomore player of the year? I would like to make a nomination
