There's also LSU and the fact they're practically having campus auditions for a QB.

Yep. And if last year was any indication, LSU could start the SAE Intramural squad's QB and still beat tGOAT Ole Miss team.

Seriously though, LSU.

I think Fournette wins the Heisman though.

Since the expansion in '92, LSU, Alabama, or Auburn has won the division, AND Ole Miss, State, and Arkansas have finished last in the division, 19 times, respectively.

Factor aTm into the equation where you will, but they are truly terrible right now.

Who are they going to beat? Maybe The Aggies, but I doubt it. This is the year Freeze just shows how incompetent he is

Mullen has never finished last in the west. Good try

Why didn't he show it his first year when he only had 60 scholarship players and a sophomore bo Wallace fresh out of juco... Not a single player got drafted that year... Why didn't he get exposed that year with so little talent and experience

Auburn's roller coaster ride would make predicting them last a smart choice. Then pick them to win it all in 2016.

But all I know is a coach will make 4 million and finish last in the West this fall.

It will be one of the Mississippi schools or the Big 12 team* in the division.

(eta: and not the one in Texas)

Actually Mullen hasn't finished last. But he's also only finished above fourth once. His best finish before last year was the 2009 fourth place finish. Every other season was fifth or a tie for fifth.

What I appreciate about Mullen is he is willing to stick in and do the work. What baffles me is everyone here likes to shite on State. If we do something well it's just switch to the next narrative 'yeah well you won't do it again' 'you are still Mississippi State' etc etc etc.....

If we are such an insignificant threat why even bother? Tells me we are doing something right.
