You really have no idea what you're talking about. Chavis benefitted greatly from the style of offense we run. Even in 2014 when our offense was shite, our defense was rarely on the field. When you looked at LSU'S defensive rankings of yards per play our defense was middle.of the pack in the sec under chavis. Our total defensive rankings will almost always look good because our offensive scheme off ball possession and a high TOP limits the amount of time our defense is on the field. Yards per play and points per play is a far better measurement of a defenses' and offenses' success because they are not skewed by plays ran or time of Possession. They are called pure stats.
