Who enjoys a sport more between fans of blue bloods or good but not great programs?

I love Ohio State, but the Bobcats win over WVU made me celebrate.

People (college football fans) love watching blue bloods play even if it’s only to root against them. My humble opinion

Just one game comes to mind, 1977 bama at home against UGA which finished 5-7. After game, won by bama 18-10, Ga student walking down the street yelling to many quiet, sullen bama students “Why so quiet? Ya’ll won.” Does the thrill of victory dim with prolonged success? What say you?

Sometimes I enjoy watching blue bloods play each other. But every once in awhile, I’ll watch a good but not great program like Ohio State.

It does, I took the Michigan game for granted because we always won. It became no fun. When they finally beat us and begin their own streak, Harbaugh flees from a scandal, and we win the national title before we beat them again, again took the fun out of it.
I cannot remember the last time I was excited by a regular season game. Perhaps the beginning of the Urban era.

Who do you think enjoys the games more, LSU or Ole Miss fans? Alabama or Auburn? Oklahoma or Oklahoma St? As the guy above asked, does winning get old?
Arkansas and South Carolina IMO have the best fans on the Rant.

I think for some people, if you watch the sport long enough, you become a fan of the sport, not just your favorite team...

Yes, same here. I enjoy the Bama/Georgia matchups, even if it has been mostly one sided.
I enjoyed the rise of Indiana until they won the B1GCCG.

Obviously underdog teams get a huge rush when they pull a big upset... Especially when it is someone they rarely ever beat.
Blue Blood teams maybe get something similar when they win a big game against another quality team... but it isn't quite the same.
And Blue Blood fans get to experience the satisfaction of winning championships. Which is a sense of satisfaction that underdog teams never get to experience.
But for a complete opioid one time short term rush... Giant killing has got to be it.

I think you nailed it, few programs win NC's but most schools have 1 big win a season and they talk about until the same 2 teams play again.
