Georgia had the #2 defense in the country coming into that game, that was a strong Bulldog team that got walloped.

LSU defense just dominated down the stretch of that season.

it was a strong Bulldog defense. Great unit with lots of NFL guys.

It was a piss poor offense led by, an easy case can be made for, the worst OC we've ever had.

Much like this year's alabama game, we threw an absolutley beautiful deep bomb on our first possession that our WR dropped after hitting him directly in both hands. Then it was all downhill from there.

LSU's defense definitely improved over the course of the 2019 season.

I took a signature bet on that game but I had little hope UGA would win. Took the bet in the off chance UGA would win and to show I was legit because I was a new SECR poster back then.

LSU defense was mediocre.

Joe covered up a lot of their deficiencies that were exposed in the Bama game and they didn’t play another offense like Alabama until Oklahoma and they had one of the worst defenses in football that year.

We should call those schools something. Some phrase that designates them as the best 6 SEC programs historically

The defense was above average with a lot of NFL talent.

31st ranked scoring defense and
31st ranked total defense

Wouldn't call it elite but certainly better than mediocre, especially considering their schedule

They played the following offenses

Oklahoma #3
Clemson #5
Alabama #6
Texas #14
Ole Miss #26

Not arguing the stats, but LSU fans get so defensive.

UGA was missing its top 4 WRs for most of the game.

D’Andre Swift was also injured in the GT game the weak prior and barely played.

That said, LSU was always gonna win that one.

LSU’s defense finally got healthy if I’m remembering the season right. Lot of players from that defense went to the league. Doesn’t hurt to also have the best offense in recent memory.
