This is apples and oranges. USC voluntarily asking or agreeing to join the Big 10 is an entirely different thing than a member organization in an association with a legally binding agreement getting "kicked out".
Don't think so? Consider this. It has been estimated that Texas and Oklahoma will each pay around $80M in exit fees to the Big 12. Do you think they would pay that if they could get kicked out of the SEC in the future because the other schools decided they didn't like them? This is BUSINESS. Agreements and contracts exist! Nobody is getting "kicked out"!
