It’s hard to get an established coach to give up a comfortable gig with an AD that supports them and a team they built.

Golesh gets USF into the playoffs and his phone will ring off the hook.

The house settlement will take some of that out of the equation. And Florida has a decent NIL setup.

Oh his phone would ring off the hook even if they don't make the playoffs.

I think he would be a solid hire for Florida but it would be tough to hire another up and coming type of coach at Florida and get support since the last few have been such busts, with Napier being a complete disaster.

With that in mind, he wouldn't be a "home run" but could be a sneaky good hire.

Kiffin
Fisch - Spurrier would love this hire.
Lashlee

I like the HC at IU but he's locked up now.

It is inferior to the Ole Miss NIL program.

No reason to leave for an inferior NIL program.

Lane would not leave for Florida - Alabama, he'd leave for. But no chance in hell he'd go to Gainesville.

If Kiffin passed on Auburn and aTm then he wouldn't leave for UF. Both those programs have much better NIL programs than UF.

Kiffin witnessed the absolute insanity that is the Bama fanbase and boosters first hand.....he wont go back into that cult again.

I would guess the obvious would be Kiffin or Jes..so Strickland will not even attempt to get them.

I'll go Brian Hartline- OSU OC

It’s like you’ve never met Kiffin before. His son loves UF if he asks his daddy to go fix it. I guarantee you he’ll come. These coaches are just hired guns man don’t get this attached.

You're an idiot if you actually believe that. But more likely, you're just praying he doesn't become the focus of our search.

Way way out there but would you consider Mike Gundy?

He has done well in a tough to recruit place and made most of lesser talent. He has completely destroyed osu because of his failure to embrace NIL. But a new start with a major program would likely refresh his football coaching.

Things are going south real fast in Stoolwater. Check out what his son had to say:

He said way more but that gives an idea how bad it is.

A motivated Gundy with good players would be interesting. But most programs likely would want to avoid him is my guess.

Another note from a Pokes fan

quote:

CowpokeU @cowpoke_u Yeah...there were about 8 posts like that up for an hour before he deleted them. Absolutely gonna hurt us in recruiting. Feels like Gundy Jr is preemptively scuttling the ship here.

His buyout is cheap compared to most and that leaves extra money for Florida to pay off current coach.

Again, this will never happen but figured I’d throw a wildcard out there since you asked.

That gets posted often but everything I read says UF spends more.
Anyone know the real numbers?

Correct.

They are hired guns.

If UF breaks out the $'s then anything is possible.

Yall are way ahead of the administration though. They wont even fire Sun Belt if he wins 8 games so settle down.

We went through this last year and LtColumbo or whatever his name is still hasn't gotten over his hurt feelings.

If UF promises the moon, they could get Kiffin. They won't do that.

I bet UF spends more....on all sports.

Ole Miss has a top ten football NIL.

Then we have Kiffins massive buyout. UF can pay that too?

They won't.

The year to hire Gundy would have been to replace Muschamp or maybe Macelwain.

That would be a disaster in 2025.

We have given Napier everything he asked for ponied up 2.5 million for his QB even after the Rashada disaster. Come to think of it he may be trying to get the buyout to settle that case. No way he spends his money well.
