2011 Bama. Beat the toughest opponent in any of those title games and made it look easy.

Crazy in 20 years the SEC has only had 3 undefeated MNCs. Great marketing department

It's kind of sad to see the 2004 Auburn team getting no love. That team was a pure machine on offense, defense, and special teams. As far as complete teams go, I doubt you will find an SEC team that was more complete from top to bottom than that team.
If we're being completely honest, coaching is what kept that team from being one of the GOATs.

Can you imagine how that team would have performed with a Spurrier or a Tressel calling the shots?

The reason they don't get any is because Southern Cal would have skulldrug them all over the field of they'd been unfortunate enough to play them.

Only undefeated teams should be considered.

That's just stupid. None of the other teams even mentioned would of touched the 2011 Bama or LSU teams.

It does not mean that undefeated teams are always better than ones with a loss but when we are talking "greatest"..........any teams with a defeat need not apply.

Just because a team goes "undefeated" one year does not make them better than a team from any other year.

The 2011 season is a prime example. Bama had one loss but later went on to beat the team they lost to. One game does not define the greatness of a team as a whole.

Sometimes teams luck into a win (you know, like a kick six or a throw bouncing off a helmet into a receivers hands).

Like they "skulldrug" a lousy UCLA team by a FG in their final regular season game? Or a pathetic 4-7 Stanford team they had to come from behind in the 4th quarter to beat?

You assholes seem to think just because they slaughtered an overrated OU in the BCSCG that the '04 Trojans were some kind of powerhouse, like 1996 Nebraska. They were damn good, obviously, but practically every team in the OP would give them a game, and more than half (including 2004 AU) would have beaten them.

Is that why the barn couldn't score against them, or stay within 3 tds on their own field?

Or did you forget that?

I would rather have the team that never lost a game. And saying that none of the other teams would "of" touched 2011 bama and lsu is stupid in and of itself

2011 LSU would have went down as the best team in the bcs era had they not shite the bed against bama in nola. That was a damn good football team lol, they really were. Les fricked us up in the natty by running the same shite he ran that worked against bama the first time we played them and beat them. He got outcoached bigtime by saban. Big mistake, and it cost us the game. Honestly idk who would have won the game had we played a 3rd time that year, it would have been a hell of a game tho. We should have had jarrett lee in the game in some capacity imho, bc bama straight up knew that jordan jefferson wasnt going to beat them throwing the ball and running the option. Oh well, we lost, and that bama team in 2011 is prob the best team in the bcs era.

I'd take a one-loss national championship season over an undefeated season finishing without a national title any day of the week.

2007 LSU may have finished 12-2 but they won something that 2004 Auburn didn't - a national championship.

For all the Tebow thumping going on I personally feel that Percy Harvin was as important if not more. He was a hell of an athlete

Harvin was ridiculous. The speed he had was insane. I remember the runs against Arky and South Carolina where he went right through the middle and no one touched him until he hit the end zone.

One guy I miss at UF.

So, you're basing your prediction of the last game of one season on the results of the first game of the previous season?

For example, if Team A got blown out 35-0 by Team F at the beginning of Year 1, you think they wouldn't stand a chance in the rematch in the 12th game of Year 2?

Or did you forget that?

Tim Tebow never beat Auburn period. No reason to expect him to in 2008 with the same team from the previous 2 years.

Actually UF in 2008 was vastly different from 2006 and 2007.

But I had to highlight this post as one of the stupidest I've ever seen on this board.

No other teams have ever been as loaded with big time NFL talent as those two teams. That's just a fact.
