Don't mistake me. There's nothing wrong with good ol' fashioned incest humor. It's like sweet tea and grits -- just part of who we are as a region. LSU fans for some reason tend to believe that their state is some kind of cultural mecca for western civilization due to the fact that New Orleans is located within its borders.
Problem is, once you leave the French Quarter, the state of Louisiana starts looking like the rest of the South. There is no real difference at all other than the fact that Louisiana has more of a Catholic heritage while the surrounding states have embraced Protestantism.
