You have the same issue Tennessee had. You have an AD problem.

We had four bad ones in between Doug Dickey and Danny White. A bad AD is a program killer.

only to listen to Lane himself say that he was going to Auburn until his daughter talked him out of it

He was undecided and Landry made a video and he said that made the decision for him.

I don't think the Florida job is as attractive as it was, say 20-25 years ago.

We have one of the largest staff pool salaries in the country and our QBs get Gatorade NIL deals.

Napier, like Mike White, was given everything needed to succeed. They simply have not and look what happens when you fire a lame duck and get someone capable to take over.

The answer is Lane and his $6M buyout isn’t stopping Florida from poaching.

Also whoever said Lane can only win 9-11 games is crazy, Ole Miss plays a notoriously tough schedule with fewer resources and he’s already pulling those #s.

Our 2026-2029 schedule was a favor after 2 years of hell from the SEC, we can easily go from 2-10 this year to 9-3 next year with him if he can retain the roster and portal well enough.

Fran Brown would be scary good at UF.

I was about to post this, what he has accomplished at Cuse is pretty amazing, both in terms of the talent he’s pulled in, and the coaching job. I mean why would anyone want Dabo or Ogeron at this point?

The buyout is only $3 million now and if Lane is your only hope then you are hopeless.

Who would you suggest otherwise why would Lane be a bad pick?

I think Golesh is very good. He and Heup turned around a historically bad Tennessee offense into a historically good one. Veer and shoot will scare some schools off though

He would be an excellent pick but he's not going so you're going to waste a lot of time chasing a ghost.

You’re delulu if you think any coach at Ole Miss is staying if Florida or even Bama comes calling.

You sound like your neighbors before Mullen left.

Didn't Florida go after Hugh Freeze for him to just turn them down in favor of staying?

So, the only real world example is one of a coach staying at Ole Miss when offered the Florida job.

I’ve never heard of Freeze ever being contacted by Florida in any capacity…

Florida issued a statement Monday saying "we have made no job offers to anyone" after reports surfaced that Gators had contacted Freeze. A source told ESPN.com's Brett McMurphy that Florida never contacted Freeze or Ole Miss about the opening.

Here you go

Landmass, we’ll see where this goes but odds are the train is heading to Gainesville.

Short list should be: Lane Kiffin Eli Drinkwitz Clark Lea

Do you think Lea would leave, with him playing there and being an ALUM?
