But yea, both RBs are beasts and would start at close to every other school in the country. Offseason sucks.
And Chubb would start at LSU.
And Chubb would start at LSU.

Let this sink in...
Nick Chubb (in the 8 games he started)
AVG 165 yds/gm, 1.6 TDs/gm
Leonard Fournette's best game as a FR
146 or 143 yds and 1 or 2 TDs.
Nick Chubb averages a better game than LF's best game so far.

Huh yeah uh ok, so he shared with 4 other backs but had more more carries and Les yards than Chubb.
Just admit it that Chubb had the better stats and is currently a better RB. It's OK to be able to give credit to someone other than LF as being the better RB . I know that it hurts given his hype savior all time great hype and was the main guy in the 2 for 5 of last year's class for LSU.
Against Florida Chubb had 21 carries for 156 yards for a 7.4 average. Fournette's stats were 27 carries for 140 yards for a 5.2 average.

Thats not much much better.

Having the better stats doesnt necessarily mean he is the better player.

Yeah it hurt watching him run more yards than any freshman in lsu or BAMA history.

Again. Chubb had a passing attack. LF had nothing. Lf had more rushing tds than our qb had passing tds

Not much of one. Mason didn't scare anyone throwing deep, so Chubb saw quite a few stacked boxes too. That excuse doesn't fly.

I hope youre joking. Your qb led the sec in completion % ours was dead last. Your qb was 2nd in the sec in passing efficiency ours was 2nd to last. Your qb was 2nd in the sec in adjusted yards per attempt ours was 3rd to last. Youre stupid if you dont think your qb and passing game was leaps and bounds above lsu's.
LF rushing tds and Jennings passing tds combined is 2 more than tds than what your qb threw.

WHY ARE LSU FANS SO IGNORANT?
There has to be a logical explanation, there has to be! What is it? They'd be killing other people if they were arguing for Chubb over Fournette if you switched their stats and productivity.
It is nothing short of amazing...

From earlier:
quote:
LSU had 2118 passing yards on the season, multiple qb's. UGA's Mason only had 2168.
Overall UGA averaged 199 passing yards per game and LSU averaged 163 passing yards per game. Neither strikes fear into a defense.

Not only is this untrue, you only have to had to watch football for the past 3 years to know it's not true, not some deep dive in Alabama football history.
But, I like how you bolded Alabama to bring them into the conversation. Very little brotherish of you. Sure you're not an Auburn fan?

Again. Fool. Our passing attack (such as it was) was the only thing holding Chubb back. When we played Louisville, the 2nd or 3rd best team in the nation against the run, they stacked the box all game. Heck, our starting QB got knocked out in the first half and Louisville was DARING us to pass by stacking the box every fricking play, but we had no choice - we had to run and Louisville knew it.
Chubb ran for over 260.

So - ya know - deal. with. it.

That's arguable at best.
Fournette is 3 inches taller than Chubb but approximately the same weight.
Fournette ran the 100 meter in high school in 10.68 and Chubb ran it in 10.69
Nick Chubb set state records in high school weight lifting with a bench of 365, power clean of 390, and squat of 700. Hell, Chubb won the state shot put title in HS with a 55ft toss. He has already broken the record at UGA for being, pound-for-pound, the strongest player ever in the program (record previously held by RB Thomas Brown, as I mentioned earlier in the thread).
Fournette isn't better than Chubb at anything, especially running the football.
Durden bringing the heat in this thread

I can't believe y'all are seriously using the SEC West argument at this point..Chubb absolutely abused the 2 SEC West defenses he faced BTW.
It's not like LF isn't a beast, but I think at this point Chubb is definitely the better back...I can see Fournette moving ahead of Chubb at some point but I don't see it right now

Chubb has no place to go but down, Fournette has more potential for future success.
What kind of retarded logic is this?

They are in the same class. Why will one get better while one will get worse? Chubb has better vision and better physical tools than Fournette. He's a better back plain and simple. Chubb weighs as much as Fournette on a more compact frame. Little known fact by lsu fans is that Nick Chubb ran a 10.69 100m at 230 pounds. For some reason there's a belief amongst the lsu fans here that Fournettes speed is what will eventually seperate him from Chubb, that Fournette is some physical freak while Chubb is not.
Wrong. If anything Chubb is a more impressive athlete, especially for the position they play, you couldn't build a better specimen in a lab than Nick Chubb.
Chubb also has the benefit of not playing with Anthony Jennings, so he should continue to flourish in Athens.
I see now Durden beat me to all my talking points -_-
I didn't read much of the thread
