I normally do not condone smugness, but when that smugness is directed towards other smug folk, I'm fine with it. Carry on.

Correct. Blue Blood has no recency bias

Not being Missouri is a good start.

Texas claims 4 championships but really it's 3 and 1 co-championship. LSU has 4 championships. (Their was nothing "co-" about 2003
LSU also has more Heisman winners.

It's really about win %. LSU had a bad 80's and 90's. Texas had a great run through the 50's, 60's & 70's. It's not even a question if LSU has been more relevant in college football in the last 25 years.
Losing seasons since 2000:
LSU - 1
Texas - 5

This topic seems to really upset you

Yes, the blue blood conversation is dumb. I've never understood why Texas is included on that list. 1 natty in 42 years is embarrassing. That's like pre-Saban LSU. It seems like media coverage / regional vs national appeal has more to do with it. It also helps if they made a movie about your team (Rudy).
Michigan is a blue blood mostly because they're rivals with Ohio State.
Nebraska shouldn't even be in the conversation anymore.
LSU was actually ranked higher on that list than I thought we would be. But honestly, since 2000, other than LSU I think only Bama has 3 or more championships.

Program wins and/or national titles across multiple decades.

Right. Win %. And then 1 championship. That's what I said.

I will say this for Texas, you ushered in the beginning of the end of the big red machine, when you upset them in the inaugural Big XII championship game in St Louis. Good work.
Oh so OU knocking them out in Red October in 2000 and in multiple Big12 Championships years after wasn't the true beginning of their downfall? Think harder.

Which brings me back to Texas. They won titles in '63 & '69. The '70 title was a UPI co-championship in a season where they played 2 teams with winning records.
They racked up wins in the shitty SWC:
Baylor
Houston
Rice
SMU
A&M
TCU
Texas Tech

Who are the Blue Blood football programs?
1% of D1 would be good sign
#1 in their region would be a good sign
USA / East = Notre Dame
South = Alabama
Midwest = Ohio State
Southwest = Oklahoma
West = Notre Dame
Utx is #3 behind #1 Oklahoma and #2 Nebraska
Utx has 4 MNC's, about6 the same as Georgia Tech and nobody calls the Bumbles a Blue Blood

Do you not know how to use an internet search browser?

I don't think USC should be #1 as they are weighing a lot of things post college to get there.
I don't think Pro Bowlers or HOFers should matter much in the discussion of who is a college blue blood.
USC and ND would be there anyway but probably lower

You can debate whether or not Nebraska is a blueblood, but from that population they are certainly the program furthest away from performing at a blue blood standard in current times.

Nebraska. Who we beat 9 out of 10 times until they finally ran yelping to the B1G. Another brilliant contribution from Cheese Tits.
