He's a good coach like I said...he is just like as if they hired Brohm. He's not a great coach. But its the best Michigan could do and it is what it is. No doubt they swung for the fences and tried for bigger coaches and all said no.....because no way Whittingham was their #! target when Sherrone was fired. Lets not make it as if Michigan got a steal of a coach....they didnt. Their top 5 list of coaches they wanted probably didnt even have the name Whittingham on it.

Well yeah but considering it’s probably a gap hire until they find the next lane Kiffens kinda guy. Still going to win more than lose

Kiffin is BK 2.0.

Remember when DeBoer was their top candidate and he swashed that after beating Oklahoma. That crushed their confidence. Then they floated names like Freeman and John Harbaugh....that was never gonna happen. Then they started lowering the bar and floating the name Dillingham....they were really locked in on him and he up and signed an extension with ASU instead of going to a supposed top 5 job in college at Michigan. Then they started talking Minter and Conklin....that wasnt gonna happen either. Brohm even said after his bowl win that he was happy where he is at....and now Michigan was left with Whittingham. And there he is.

Good hire. He’s 66 so probably a placeholder and stabilizer which is what they need

You could say the same for half of the SEC teams.

An excellent hire!
The man's had solid teams during his time at Utah, and he'll bring stability and maturity to the program.

Did people miss he “retired” from Utah in the middle of December like two days after Moore had his mental breakdown?

KW quit on Utah as soon as they signed this silly PE deal.

Of course if he loved his kids he would have stayed at Ole M,,,err, Utah. Kyle Whittingham only cares about Kyle Whittingham!

DeBoer was never Michigan’s top candidate. You all fell for Jimmy Sexton using Michigan’s opening with his media minions to spread that lie as if it was factual to get he and DeBoer more money.
