I'll say this. Bama's o-line vs. LSU's d-line will be epic, and will be a battle including probably six future first round draft picks.

Oh yeah.

Auburn's backs are more proven that Alabama's at this point.

Facts, and stuff...

Based on improvement under center on both squads the running games should improve with more long gains

And you sir have obviously never seen Kenny Hilliard play.

I saw him run for a total of 18 yards against Alabama last year.

I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy.

You really think that it's hypocritical to differentiate between hyping up an extremely talented RB running behind an extremely talented OL and a QB who has never taken a meaningful snap in a football game at any level higher than junior college?

RB is pure talent. QB has so many more variables. You ALWAYS have a question mark at QB unless you are returning an established and successful starter.

Facts don't matter brah.

They have seen as much from their backs as we have from Mett...spring game PT, which doesnt mean shite.

I thought this thread was about running backs. Stop deflecting to us having confidence in our QB. Stats prove what our backs can do. Richardson was your workhorse last year. Your other backs are unproven, for the most part. DWI.

It's a point to prove that though unproven, past success is a tool that can be used to project future success. This is an offseason topic every year. I mean, LSU fans have faith in their QB situation despite the struggles of the past four years. I don't see why Alabama fans can't have faith in our RBs, given that we replaced Glen Coffee and Mark Ingram with success.

What does that have to do with this year?

Based on the last four years, Mettenberger should not succeed then. Correct

no you got it back wards, what happened in the past does not mean anything going forward. IE that you have had 2 first round picks does not in and of itself mean the current guys will be as good.

Given the OL and talent, not reason to not have confidence in the running game, but that's not what you said, you said your new stable will be better than LSU's because of your past success which is meaningless.

I know Jalston Fowler had about 400 yards rushing last year as a third RB in the rotation.

Well, Alabama has seen each of its last three starting RBs drafted in the top two rounds of the NFL draft.

Richardson - 1st
Ingram - 1st
Coffee - 3rd

Coach Burns should get a mf'ing raise.

Best RB coach in the country. I'm honestly, not worried about depth or how our RBs will do.

I never said you couldn't, but to think that just because they play for Alabamuh means they will be Heisman candidates is a a bit absurd.

We don't need one workhorse running back. We have 6 that are pretty fricking good and can split playing time.

Take your reason somewhere else, it has no place here.

Alabama is questioned every offseason by opposing fans when some position is being replaced. Every fall we seem to succesfully replace said position. Until it doesn't happen, I don't have reason to think we can't have success.

This I know when Richardson left the game Penn State faired no better stopping Lacy with 12 men in the box.

When in the Hell did I say that. Confidence in replacing Trent Richardson, like we did Coffee and Ingram, is a far cry from producing a Heisman RB. Good God.

That's cool and all and I even agree. I addressed this earlier only to be replied to with some goofy gif.
