UF went 8-5 and won a bowl game so I’d say they already have a jump. AU is stacking all the right chips we just haven’t played the right cards yet. I think we’ll have a similar 7-5,8-4 season in ‘25. If we beat a good Baylor team on the road to open it’ll be game on, if we lose that one the seat will be red hot for Freeze.

Would have to go with the Gators. Seemed to get better at the end of the season. Decent talent and great QB if Lagway can stay healthy. No confidence at all in Auburn until they replace the scumbag at the helm.

Your coaching staff sucks. Not the head coach but most of the assistants. Your school suffers from weird internal politics which drains the life from the staff. I'll believe Auburn significantly improves when I see it.
This is coming from a fan of a school that has not won an SEC Championship in over 60 years, NEVER played in the SEC Championship Game, NEVER played in a National Championship Game, NEVER won a legitimate National Championship and NEVER had a Heisman Trophy winner.

Your school suffers from………..being ole piss.

Laugh all you want but we are cranking out 10+ win seasons and getting better as a program all while you fell off the radar as a program. With 16 teams in the SEC now, do you realize how bad you have to suck to be 3rd from last place? Congrats on all that history but where are you now?

It's amazing how Auburn fans completely look past the fact that Harsin intentionally tanked your program after Auburn tried to fire him for cause on bullshite that could have ruined his life

This occurred two weeks AFTER a National Signing Day in which Harsin signed ZERO recruits. So your timeline is off

“Cellar”. You keep using that word, not sure that you know what it means.

4-4 is not the cellar.

Auburn will be a lot better next year but I don't have much faith that either Freeze nor Napier have the coaching skills to put the talent to near the top.

Neither team will be in the cellar next year (Florida ended up middle of the pack this year) but coaching will be the bottleneck.

Florida has another hellscape schedule next year and Auburn's is much more forgiving. Wouldn't be shocked to see both go 9-3 next year.

You have no basis for making this statement. Quit while you are behind.

The correct definition of cellar in the SEC is those teams that never made the SECCG.

This entire thread shows how Florida fans seem to be willing to debate the topic at hand yet Auburn fans continue to insist that they are better than they actually are. Why are Auburn fans like this?

My question is simple... which of these two will get better and have a good season first?

Why did I pick these two teams? Because they are historically good programs that have fallen on hard times through multiple coaches. Quit bashing the source of the question and just answer the question.

Florida for sure.

Hugh is not a good coach, he’s only had 3 or 4 really good years over his career and he just added another Payton Thorne.

Here's my question: is Billy Napier a good coach? We've not really seen evidence of that so far.

Your season started out bad and he was not only able to salvage it but made the team pretty damn strong there at the end. Yeah, I would say he is a good coach.
