Please explain why/how?

247 composite rating

Porter- .9998

Irving- .9992

Espn both had them at a 97

Both were ranked as 2nd best player in the country by 247.

Porter wasn't far better entering college. If you want to say better than I think that is certainly an argument you can make.

McLemore out didn't hurt last night..

That's one game, and the injury just happened.

You think less depth won't have any affect at all once we get into March and the SECT and NCAAT and the team is playing multiple games in just a few days?

you're right, I never meant to actually imply far, but just flat out better.

Still, other factors split the two more than just what you said. The amount of awards and the awards themselves that MPJ won prove in a sense that what Michael did in high school can only be matched by a few. Kyrie didnt come close to the accolades Michael had.

Sure, I'm not trying to say that only the things I listed matter. The only reason I laughed at your statement because it is silly to say he was far better entering college. If you take back saying that then I wouldn't have even commented.

understood. Didnt even realize I said far until you pointed it out. Makes sense, its why I was confused as to why you sounded so confident in that what I said was wrong.

Just so we're on the same page here, MPJ was far better than Kyrie entering college.

To be clear...KI has already proven he is the real deal. 247 rankings don't mean a thing once you step on campus. What you did in college is irrelevant once you get drafted. KI has shown he was/is the real deal. MBJ hasn't. He might, but you could walk to England on the backs of players who had high hopes coming out of High School only to fall short of previous expectations.

No SEC team is strong enough to make a run at winning The NCAA Tourney.

And yet the strongest teams don't always win the title.

Any team with upperclassman guards and good defense. Experience at guard tends to eliminate crucial turnovers and manage the inevitable runs that seem to happen in the tourney.

I think A&M and Bama have teams that can do some damage in the NCAAT. AU will depend on matchups but we have a chance, too. McLemore out will hurt us in the boards and in depth.

F - Petty was a real scoring threat

IF - Key was a powerful forward

Bama would be a true force.

Until those two guys get their heads out of their arse and play to their potential, we are mediocre at best.

petty's misses are HORRIBLE ... dude does not have a shot ... he makes an off balance shot here or there and people think he's hot stuff .. his misses clank off the backboard ...

auburn just doesn't have the depth ... exciting team to watch and a very good coach, but the sec tourney followed by the dance is a tough stretch for a small team, both in height and numbers ...

Auburn looked pretty helpless when A&M used its size inside.

yeah....i have enjoyed this team so much, but folks have to be realistic about the tourney....we don't have the depth and now, we don't have any height to go along with the lack of depth....i hope the Lord lets me live until next season because we will have it all and plenty of it....

updykes are a team to keep an eye on....they have it, but they have not figured it out yet
