but in terms of the actual beach I’m taking OB.
I know you mean Orange Beach, but OB to many is "Outer Banks" in NC. Those beaches SUCK! LOL

ETA: Most Florida Panhandle beaches should be Alabama’s but they were stolen.
Weren’t they traded for like a barrel of whiskey or something?
I don’t think beach vacations where a thing back in the early 1800’s.
It’s a long and complicated story going back to the early 1700s, maybe farther, the French and Indian War, and even involving Napoleon Bonaparte and the Louisiana Purchase.
I couldn’t possibly do it justice in this forum. You could do an entire semester segment on it in a U.S. History class. Pisses me off, though.

You can't beat Boonesboro Beach

I'm partial to SC. Mainly, because I grew up going to Hilton Head.

I like to body surf so give me the Atlantic side.
Get the right property and listening to the surf while falling asleep is a huge bonus.

Aren't all of the MS beaches manmade? The ones in front of Beauvoir, Jefferson Davis's home were.

Mississippi and it’s not close.

Florida by a landslide....
If you like brown beaches, brown water, and 70 mile an hour winds I would suggest Texas....specifically Galveston. No idea what the attraction is.

Florida, but its west coast is much better than the East. Alabama's Orange Beach is nice, but eschew Gulf Shores

The Texas beaches south of Corpus are MUCH cleaner than Galveston, or *gasp* Freeport, with water that isn't nasty.
Surfside in Brazoria County probably has the highest concentration of P-MOW and other dangerous jellies, this side of Aus-TRIAL-ya.

Jellyfish got me at South Padre when I was four.
Passed out. Woke up in a bath tub.
Woke up in a bath tub also in Myrtle beach in high school spring break.

In all seriousness, give me Florida and those white sand beaches

Gulf Shores and Orange Beach clears imo. The sand in Florida is too granular for my liking.
The sand is exactly the same in the panhandle, and they have prettier water. The water can sometimes get a little murky on Alabama beaches. I’d say from Pensacola to Panama City are the best beaches in the United States. Alabama is a clear number 2 in SEC country though
