And Georgia and Texas A&M.

As long as one of these 7 is dominant, and another 1-3 are competitive, the conference will be healthy. The other teams have no shot at sustaining success, and lack the ability to hold the country's interest as a temporary front runner, outside of a Cinderella moment.

A well balanced conference is probably a better answer. Having UF & Bama be the only 2 Natty contenders isn't a good thing for the conference. Also having Vandy beat ranked teams is detrimental.

I might exclude A&M from that list, based on

No offense meant to the Aggies, but that quote describes them to a T. They had their Cinderella moment with Manziel, and while it got them a Heisman, that's all it did. I think they fade with the re-emergence of Arkansas.

Ole Miss & MSU specifically haven't shown they can sustain success for numerous years (an argument for Auburn could be made too). Your 9-3 season isn't an exemplar & is a moot point in determining the long-term success of our conference

cant speak for state college/starksville, but Ole Miss aint going away for awhile. Now, LSU could very well takes state colleges place next year, but they aint taking OM place.

I'd go with Florida because they are in a state with 2 ACC schools that are very popular.

Miami is very popular. Attendance figures simply don't support this. I know it was a great football school during a couple/three runs, but not now.

In football, it's vital that UF and UT get well soon. Mizzou is a great add to the East but we need the kind of excitement every week-end that the West has had for the last several years. Every game needs to be up for grabs. In a good way, that is.

In basketball, 12 teams need to step up their game. We need 7 or 8 teams making the NCAA tourney every year. The money is there. Hire the better coaches.

Vanderbilt

Seriously, their medical setup rocks. If you get the clap you want to get the best treatment for it.

Florida and TN. Florida gets instate rival FSU yearly and TN has Bama yearly. These 2 games alone can shake up the CFP yearly
