LSU is easily one of the premier programs in the SEC. Top 3 for sure. And I fricking hate LSU.

Depends on what you mean. They're probably top 3 in football in the modern era, although if AU wins it's really going to be a foursome with UAT, AU, LSU and UF. But I think UGA and UF have more prestige than LSU, they certainly have a far broader reach.

Given the incredibly high number of sidewalk fans, this actually could be true.

Maybe UF, but not UGA.

Once again, it depends.

LSU is certainly the better recent football school, but when someone says prestige, I think more factors in. UGA is a better all around school than LSU, and it is in a much more relevant state (although Louisiana is certainly getting a a lot of cultural attention these days). I think that is part of the reason UGA is drawing kids from places like Highland Park, TX and other high end areas that have no real connection to Athens.

What is Georgia good at other than football and swimming?

I am very curious as to what you are basing this on.

Probably roughly double the population and GDP.

Don't want to get in the Atlanta-New Orleans argument again.

Not a response thread.

I was just taking a dump and started thinking about how Mizzou brings more to the SEC than some of the traditional southern schools.
