It is and it had a CWS title and a couple runners up.

Tough pill to swallow for you boys.

It will likely happen before Missouri has a season above .500 in SEC play.

To be fair I'll be bragging about 2014 62 years from now.

Let's take a trip in time back to that month

- Little Things Mean a Lot by Kitty Kallen was the top song in the country. LINK

- The words "under God" are added to the United States Pledge of Allegiance

- The UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) is formed in Basel, Switzerland.

- The world's first atomic power station opens at Obninsk, near Moscow.

- Sarah Mae Flemming is expelled from a bus in South Carolina for sitting in a white-only section.

- Joseph Welch, special counsel for the United States Army, lashes out at Senator Joseph McCarthy, during hearings on whether Communism has infiltrated the Army, saying, "Have you, at long last, no decency?"

...those were the days.

And who did Mizzou beat for the title? Mighty Rollins College. They must've been the Tennessee Tech of 1954. I'll bet they could straight mash it.

Auburn is starting to hit and gain confidence at the plate, while freshman Burns has given Butch Thompson a fantastic 1-2 starting punch to go along with Mize.

I don’t see them winning the CWS because of overall pitching depth in the bullpen, but anything can happen if they get past Florida.

They move this year's tournament from Omaha to down to Fayetteville?

Arkansas' record is 42-18. 15 of those 18 losses came on the road. They're road kill!
