Ole Miss got to ditch Nutt because of this season so I'd say Miss State has had it worse.

No. A demoralising loss by 50+ to Bamer is much worse than us being in it till the last half of the 4th Q. But you keep telling yourself that

L=Loss.
There is no DL=demoralizing loss

Come June. I don't have any left-over feeling of getting beaten by 50 points. And by the end of the season, a late-game loss counts exactly the same as any other loss.
So in the long-run, a loss is a loss.

Jacksonville State = Demoralizing loss
LA Tech by 20= Demoralizing loss
Vandy by 30 = Demoralizing loss

I have no "demoralizing" feeling at the current moment over that loss. I'll have the same "non-feeling" come next season about the two other one's that you've listed.

Don't you dare bring logic to the internet.

Even though I think he's a dumbass, a loss is a loss.

It doesn't get any worse than 2-8 or 14 straight SEC losses. 6 4 win or less seasons since 2004.

I agreed earlier in the thread but my point still stands.

We are two plays away from last year. You guys are 14 games away from your last conference win. With that said, you watch Workaholics so I hope it gets to be a tighter butthole sooner than later for you.

I'm just saying not much changed. Basically Merlins waited too long to pull Relf.

I think that it's a combination of Mullen's inexperience and Relf's inaccuracy that caused a couple of yall's losses.

I was hoping to get to 8 wins again this year, with a win against some other West team other than OM, but getting to a bowl (hopefully) will ease the disappointment a bit.
Looking at both teams objectively, State should be more upset simply because they had something to be upset about. Not a knock, but no one really expected much from OM, especially with down trend they were on.
The bright side is with having such a bad season is that you guys will get some new blood, not only with coaching, but with a new AD who hopefully will have a clue. I know I was instantly optimistic when the change happened at State.
