Having the ball 29 minutes and gaining 21 1st downs is far from dominating. UT moved the ball all game and the penalties and over throws killed UT drives. We had the ball inside the 40 yard line 6 times. Inside Redzone 3.
We outscored you in the 2nd half 7-3
Y’all only had about 100 more total yards and only 36 yards more rushing for the entire game than we did.
Hooker over threw Bru, and Hyatt for TD’s in the 1st half. That’s 14 points that UT left on the field that had nothing to do with UGA. Called self inflicted mistakes. Hooker had time on both them throws. If he connects then maybe different game, maybe not.
Maybe the outcome is the same on a neutral site, and maybe not. But one thing is certain and that’s UGA won’t have home field advantage in the playoffs. And I doubt Hooker is going to make the same mistakes.

The RAIN and the CLOCK enabled the vols to make the score and overall stats appear closer than the game was.

Agian, if not for the self inflicted mistakes it’s a different ball game. Also you can’t get 21 1st downs in 1 drive. We moved the ball made mistakes. We cut them mistakes in half we have a different game. We will find out in January.

Teams are generally pleased to give up first downs rather than yards and tds. That’s not a victory for the offense like you want it to be.
