I was born in 90 so I don’t remember the SEC without the Cocks and Pigs and fanbases are normally pretty cool IRL.

Aggie and the St. Louis Cardinals fans (nothing says South East like the St. Louis Cardinals) OR Boomer Sooner and the most obnoxious fanbase in America?

Aggie Mizzou is the lesser fit geographically, but topographically is probably OU and UT.

Culturally it’s aTm and Mizzou

Arkansas and South Carolina are at least southeastern states.

NW Arkansas isn't really southeastern, but Little Rock and everything east of it is.

I guess the Missouri bootheel is kinda southeastern. East Texas around Marshall and Nacadoches is kinda, sorta southeastern....

Oklahoma isn't culturally southeastern at all. Neither is Austin.

Missouri is way less southern than any team imo. Oklahoma is pretty much considered 3-4 geographic areas depend on who you ask and what part of state you’re in. We’re pretty neutral to them all.

I hate when people misdiagnose our state like you have.

You got most of it right before you hit Oklahoma.

I come from a part of Oklahoma called Little Dixie. Ever heard of it? Obviously not. It is more like being in the southeast than any of the places you touched on.

SC was the first state to secede from the Union. We're about as southern as it gets.

Yep.

My family came from Banks County, GA to settle in eastern OK during the Land Rush of 1889. Many others came from Appalachia, and MS and other southern states after the Civil War.

Nearly all of eastern Oklahoma is heavy south.

I disagree. Parts of Missouri are very Southern but parts are also very Midwestern. It's kind of a mix of the two. Culturally, in the past, Missouri was very Southern sympathetic in the war, so much so that a lot of them didn't stop fighting the war for years after it was over. Of course, these were guys like Jesse James.

Southeastern Oklahoma is more Southern than anywhere in Missouri. East Texas is southern.

Sorry, but culturally its Texas and Texas. This isnt a knock on the SEC or Texas, but there is not a single school in the conference that is similar to Texas, nor a city comparable to Austin.

For the record, I love visiting the Austin area and love the deep south. But they are in no way similar.

texas thinks it will come in and take over and run the conference because they are used to getting their way.

Will they adapt or leave? Stay tuned…..

You guys need us to run the conference. You're locked into a contract with ESPN with no way to earn more for playing more games.

We'll get that fixed up real soon.
