SEC... no offense, everyone. It's for pretty obvious reasons.

Its the Pac-? that's provided the most opposition to a playoff system; they're not even willing to discuss it. They just wanna keep playing the Big10 in the Doze Bowl and rely on the greater media concentration in the midwest and Cali to provide an image of legitimacy without facing top teams.

Big Ten!

I get sick of all the Ohio St. Hype every year.

Ohio St. this and Ohio St. that. By the talk from the media you'd think that OSU would run the table year in and year out.

Ohio St. and the rest of the Big X pretenders!

When I make an assessment in regard to another team or conference, I prefer to make it terms of Like-Dislike, Respect-Disrespect, and level of Significance-Insignificance. The fans, media, and other variables can influence people's perception as well.

I have a lot of respect for Ohio State as a team. I like and respect their coach and they have some of the classiest/best fans in the country. I don't always like or respect the media in the way they promote the Big 10, but overall, I do like and have a lot of respect for the teams, conference, and fans, excluding the media hype and conference strength. After some time, I do believe that the conference will make changes for the better. Adding Nebraska is a big step in the right direction.

Your statement re: the Big 12 made me think. I feel the same way. I have very little like or respect for the Big 12 (Texoma) Conference.

I like most of the teams except for Texas... and Oklahoma to some degree. I have no respect for the Univ. of Texas athletic dept. and most of their fans are oblivious to reality. It's their bullshite and manner of delivery. But they do have some talented teams. I could perhaps pity the conference if it weren't for the level of disrespect. I have no pity, though I can have some degree of empathy toward the schools/teams that have been screwed over in that piss-poor, joke-of-a-conference. I do sometimes feel their pain and then choose to not give it a lot of thought. I admire and respect Nebraska for giving the conference a "one finger salutation". Texas deserves most of the credit and I'm sure they have no remorse, just pride.
