I don't think it's jealousy; i think it's more the arrogance of SEC fans. They have reason to beat their chests, and since they're on top everyone hates them.
I figured a lot more SEC fans would say the Big X, but i guess Texas alone has enough haters

I can't see why. I have nothing at all against the Big 10+1+1.
Texas is ridiculous. I respect the program's accomplishments. But, they are pretty cavallier in their treatment of fellow conference members and those fans are hard to take.

Big 12......because it's a joke of a conference

I say that maybe because if you asked Big X fans who they hate, it would be 90% SEC. I figured SEC fans would hate the conference closest/greater than them in tradition and fandom.

Because the SEC makes their asses quit.

You talk about the arrogance of the SEC fans.......do you not think that the SEC backs up the talk?
For the record, I like the Big 10.

Why would we hate THOSE things? Is that what the Big 10+1+1 would base its "hate" of the SEC upon?
Seems a silly and juvenile reason to dislike a group.

The Notre Dame Conference

Hey you ask me which conference I'm watching on Sat afternoons (i live in Miami mind you) if it isn't the big X it's the SEC
I just know Big X fans don't like SEC fans because they act like they dominate the Big X in bowl games and seem to refuse to look at the #'s.
As i said, i respect the conference but want OSU to finally

Pac Whatever-its-called-now by far. Big 10 knows it's place in terms of playing against the SEC.
Posted on 7/15/10 at 12:11 pm to BlackHelicopterPilot
you would hate the sec if you had to suffer the beat down from uf and the arse raping from lestard. poor osu
Posted on 7/15/10 at 12:12 pm to Buckeye06
we dominate the only big x team worth a shite

ACC, but I'm probably biased because I live here and have to listen to their nonstop whining and basketball talk.

Throughout the 60's, 70's, and 80's, media attention primarily focused on Notre Dame, Big 10 teams, and Pac-10. They still do to some extent. The SEC and other teams from the South have had to overcome a lot of disrespect over the years. It's irritating hearing Mark May, Lou Holtz, and other ESPN talking heads promoting Ohio State, Notre Dame, and USC every year. It's the boasting and biases that people don't like. Fans chant "SEC" because it's irritating. What goes around comes around.
I don't think it's necessarily in good taste but I think that's why there's a lot of boasting. Texas is in a class all their own, with the exception of perhaps ND, re: ego.
