Where would you rank 2008 Florida? I think they have a legit case for being the best SEC team of the BCS ever but they lost at home to fricking Ole Miss.
Again I would have two different lists if I had to base it on just pure accomplishments (2009 Bama > 2008 Florida or 2011 Alabama, for example) or simply who I thought was the best from just watching football (2008 Florida and 2011 Alabama would be up there).

The 2011 Offense was a bit better than the 2009 Offense.

can't put them to high, didn't win their own conference

That fluke loss really mars the record I think, even though they got major major redemption for it in the championship game.
What Mars the record was that it wasn't a fluke........LSU made more plays the 1st time......
What Mars the record is that you were entitled to a 2nd chance without earning it.
Enjoy the national title dude.........quit worrying about that stuff.

quote:Well put. Bama is our national champs, but LSU is the team that had so much to gain that night. And well...
LSU beat the winner of the Cotton, as well as the Orange, Rose & BCS Championship Games.
We played a more difficult road schedule & more top ranked teams than any other in history.
We won our Division and conference title, as well as went undefeated in the regular season.
Yet perhaps the greatest season in the modern history of college football will be forgotten because we lost in convincing fashion in the Championship game against a team that was allowed to play with the revenge factor (and quite honestly was the better team in that game without question).
I have the same worry that you do. This LSU team was unquestionably one of the best teams of all time. Yet we won't ever be able to crow about this season, or the conference or Division Championship Crowns that we won.

I thought we earned it as much as any other team with one loss. Sorry Ok. State lost to a shitty ISU team. Sure, they won their conference, but its not like they earned that with an extra conference title game. We beat the dog shite out of everyone we played except for a great LSU team. Ok. State had some VERY close calls with some not so great teams.

IMO, GA. Southern triple option is ran very good. Only had a week to prepare for it. Numerous injuries that week. Looking ahead to Auburn.

Is this where I say 21-0?

They will rank as the 2011 National Champions and the team that turned the LSU GOAT into a goat while staking a claim on the MB Superdome as Our House.

Still think LSU should have ditched the offense we ran against Arkansas and Georgia and went with a triple option offense. JJ at QB, Copeland at FB, and Ford and Hilliard/Ware at the RB positions. No way in hell Bama would have seen that coming.

2008 UF was the best of the one loss teams. Cue Ron White's loaded phrase.
I would rank them below all of the undefeated teams, going undefeated in the SEC is very difficult and it takes a excellent coached team to do so. You never know when a 2008 Ole Miss might have their best game since the 60s.

Agreed but you still got lucky to be given a second chance.
Remember the arguement in 2007 was the UGA didn't win their division or even PLAY for the conference title. So why was it different for Bama in 2011?

Weak argument. A champion should beat whomever is lined up across from it.
We didn't. We lost. In convincing fashion. You come off like you're whining about having to finish your asparagus at the dinner table to your Mommy.
They beat us. Deal with it.

It was a completely different scenario, which you already know that...so I am not going to spend time breaking it down for you.

I'd rather have the crystal ball and finish ranked #1, but congrats on your runner-up trophies

No it really isn't
2007 UGA
Not SECE champs
Not SEC Champs
Didn't play for conference
2011 Bama
Not SECW Champs
Not SEC Champs
Didn't play for conference
Please show me the different scenario.
