chose mizzou over arkansas when we hired him

But, now he has the $$$. I have zero clue how much of reality is that his heart is with Arkansas.

We will just have to wait and see.

It really isn't worth sweating about. Things work out as they will.

Mizzou fans actually consider Missouri to be a top tier job and that they believe Drinkwitz will win a natty.

I did not realize the folks there were THAT delusional.

I know you're from Louisianna, but you're not so thick to think Mizzou fans believe Missouri is a top tier job? I mean we're not under the kind of LSU delusion that we're on equal footing with Alabama, Ohio State and Georgia.

I think the goal all along has been to raise the floor enough to occasionally contend for a playoff spot to take a punchers chance. Somewhere along the line Drink needs to take out a Top 10 team.

Until then clowns like you will be drawn to these threads to pretend you're not in the same boat as Mizzou.

I still don't know why you all think it's such a guarantee that a coach leaves a well paid position at a program he built, in a place his family likes to go to a place where 8-4 or 7-5 in year 3 gets you fired.

LSU and Georgia are fairly equal programs historically.

LSU isn't in the same boat as Mizzou.

There's that word again. You need to "realize" that Nutria dick is high in fat.

Mizzou was a half away from the title game in 2007.

And again in 2013 had we beaten Auburn in the SEC Championship game.

You might not like it, but we were visiting in the neighborhood then. And now we have the NIL to buy a house in the neighborhood

I drove through Missouri and back last week. I tried my best to stop and take a shite at every exit just on the small chance that some sewage might end up in the drinking water. Just so SpecialTiger could enjoy it.

That's my point.

A program like Mizzou can be good but you ultimately don't get enough elite level talent to take that next step.

The casual SEC fan views Mizzou’s modest success over the past few years as either a flash in the pan or because Eli arrived with greatness that is just now becoming apparent. Neither is true. Mizzou has been midtier since joining the SEC. We still are. The only way to break that perception is to win games against Blue Bloods.

Eli struggled here at first. Success didn’t come until he gave up offensive control. He excels at finding hidden talent-players and coaches.

The university successfully lobbied lawmakers to provide very favorable NIL policies. He had been afforded a lot of freedom. So it’s more than just a coach, it’s the culture that has changed. Eli could be successful anywhere, but will only be successful where he has the same freedom and culture.

NIL

We will be fine now. We have the money. We went out and bought our flashy new RB and QB. And there is more cash where that came from.

It's going to be hard for a program that has just fired their coach to make him so comfortable to move. This is a guy who has used his last 2 extensions to benefit his assistants more than him.

You all keep him a couple more yrs while we whittle Kelly’s buyout down some. Hell he might even retire! I would put Drink on my short list.

You say he gets whatever he wants? It dont seem that he got the money to keep Baker and Peoples…

You're still not even top 20 in talent.

They've at least made the playoff a couple of times.
