Does anyone know why Shane Beamer is enamored with bad OC's? All of his OC hires sucked before they got their job with him, yet Shane hires them anyway. It's like Shane is a Make-A-Wish guy for bad OC's.
Extremely bizarre. He'd actually have a good record and be considered a top coach if he would just hire an average OC.

It is the question of our time. Muschamp was the same way. Both have had an almost embarrassment of riches when it comes to offensive talent, and neither one could do anything with it, because they kept hiring functional invalids as OC.
Beamer has a lot to like as a coach. Great recruiter, builds solid rosters, is engaging. But the Satterfield and Shula experiments have been abject disasters, and while he's assuredly going to get another year, I hope beyond all that he's given a list of 4 OCs from the AD and told "choose one. All contracts are negotiated and agreed to."
Anyhow, we have no chance this weekend because it's an odd year, and beamer can only win in even years.
