You lost 31 guys to the portal, of course you signed a bunch of people. You had to or you wouldn’t be able to field a team in the fall.
And no one knows what your team will look like next year. Will it be better? Probably because you were pretty bad last year.
Just enjoy your new coach and stop looking to Alabama to validate you like a child you pooped their pants and managed to clean it up all by themselves wanting a complement from their parent.

Im worried about the IOL, which was an issue before the portal. The inside guys were absolutely horrible so we got rid of everyone and are rebuilding for the new scheme. We've replaced C and LT, but still need a RG ready to compete IMO.
The RG who went to A&M had already lost his job at RT and wanted to play outside but wasnt quick enough for our scheme so that wasn't really a loss although Im happy for him that he got a $1.5M deal apparently.
We still need to replace LT Overton on defense who graduated so that's another spot to watch.
We were never heavily in the mix for Cam Coleman because we already have three starter level WR's and dont have the budget to fix the other holes while signing a $3-4M splash WR. That was an internet thing, not a priority as long as Ryan Williams gets his head out of his arse in 2026.
DL we replaced Smith who was a starter with a USC starter with better numbers.
Horton was a WR2/WR3 last year. He's good but not a guy worth getting into a bidding war over with a 5* guy many in the program thought were going to push him for a PT coming in (Cede Morgan).
We've replaced the S/T unit (K, P, LOS) which was horrible last year.
The RB to Texas would've played or started, but he also would've blocked our 5* RB who signed this fall so it was annoying but not a real issue.
We're 2-3 guys away from being set for next year absent some depth signings IMO.
Bama isn't peak Saban anymore, no question.
