A&M has cultural issues that prevent high level success. It permeates the entire town.
I actually do think things are slowly changing and they're starting to embrace being an SEC school a little bit more, and they don't seem to be quite so obsessed with doing things "the Aggie way" as they were even five years ago, so who knows what the future will hold for them.
As things stand though, they could have Nick Saban and they won't win championships.

A couple of their fans and alums have figured it out but institutionally when the collective figures it out is when the machines become self aware and judgement day occurs.
Based on how AI draws hands we have a few more years to enjoy their delusions before society is fully destroyed.
