When it comes to being a high draft prospect and it is all a bout the money then these playoffs and bowls are useless.

If I'm a GM of an NFL team and I see a guy opt out of a playoff game or games for no physical reason, I'm gonna use the white-out on my list of "likes" for the draft.

I doubt they really care as it doesn't involve the NFL.

The next time LSU makes the playoffs in 2049. There will be a 24-team field by then…

Players used to never opt out of bowl games. Now it's common.
Maybe common at LSU, but it doesn't happen schools that have players proud to play for their school

It involves the loyalty and character of the player. NFL teams spend a ton of money trying to determine what a potential draftee's like between the ears!

Sounds like you mean a team? Do you mean a team or a player on a team?

Teams that still feel like they're playing for something still play together late in the year as "family". Those that go to lesser bowls will have opt outs. NY6 and up will have less until you reach the playoff where the team will essentially make it a non-starter.

Ole Miss has had few if any opt outs this year after having a few last year for the Outback Bowl. If Arkansas improves as they have the past two years and play at a high level late, I think you'll see the same for them.

This wasn't a dig at Arkansas or Burks. Just an observation.
