With an all-time record like that, I wouldn't want it brought up every year during our "rivalry" game either. Good call.

but like i said. you're not our rival. we don't need cute little rivals to try to make a game seem more important than it really is. y'all have fun with that

Bama & LSU should never be considered a rivarly.
It's in comparison to the UT/UF games that went on during the 90's and early early 2000's.. The top 2 teams of the conference fighting for dominance.
I think Genro's comment with the UCLA/USC - Oregon example explains it clearly enough

LSU will only be a superdy duperty awesome rival with Alabama when they don't care enough about the game to let Crimson fill half of their home stadium, like Tennessee.

After the blow out in tiger stadium on Sat hopefully LSU fan will go back to annoying Ole Miss and Arky fans. I have become quite bored with LSU.
so?
its bama fans and players that seem lsusessed as of late. perhaps you should do what the kids these days say.....deal with it.

Why do Bama fans like to compare this rivalry to Florida?
Bama and Florida are not in the same division and do not play every year like LSU and Alabama.

Bama and Tenn aren't in the same division. Auburn and Georgia aren't in the same division. Hell, Georgia and Georgia Tech aren't in the same conference.
Being in the same division or conference does not a rivalry make.

I am not saying it does but it has a factor to it, if your comparing the rivalry to Florida.
And the teams you just listed play each other every year. Florida and Bama do not play each other every year.

We also play Arkansas, Ole Miss, and MSU every year but they aren't our rivals either. Unless you are talking about basketball.

Maybe its time to take on LSU as a rival....lets face it, the Barn and 10erC suck and will continue to suck for the immediate future....at least LSU will give us a game

I'm not comparing the two. Alabama has two rivals: Tennessee and Auburn. Florida and LSU aren't on that list.

Bc they're rivals. But just bc you play a team every year doesn't mean they're automatically a rival.

BC they're not. Being a rival is not just about how good the teams are. It's about an inner hatred for the team and their fans.
I don't hate LSU as a team - but I sure do dislike their whiny superstitious conspiracy believe'n loud-mouthed fans. Only half of the equation is filled.

46-25-5 Bama in the overall series. Not a rivalry till one team picks it up over the next 100 years.

Why not admit that LSU is our number two rival?
I firmly admit LSU is Bama's biggest rival currently. That may change but as long as Saban is at Bama then Bama will own Auburn. I don't feel that way with LSU. LSU is the one team that scares me on Bama's schedule every year and has for the last decade.

Why be a rival?
Why aren't we just the teams who decide the west?
That seems like enough motivation to get crazy at each other, I mean, it works for me

I understand what your are saying and agree. But the reason why I stated this is because Bama fans were comparing this rivalry to Florida, which are not even close to the same.

Rivals don't change based on when the team is good. Wtf is wrong with y'all?
The UA-LSU game has been a great game recently, but that doesn't make it a rivalry.

I don't care either way as long as the game has national title implications for both teams every year
