I don`t care who the coach is if you ain`t got a QB you can`t win.Now I know
the HC is responsible but when a program fires coaches every other year
what QB with any since wants to go there.QBs want to be developed does
anyone think the last 7-8 years they have done so when having a new OC
so often.
The problem with AU football is the Big Boosters and they control the
the kaos. They have O patience and contribute to the vail of negativity
that prevails over that program. From the day a HC is hired at AU he is
doomed to failure by their own supporters.
As an LSU fan I hope they fire Hugh because it will set them back another
5 years and the powers that be don`t know it.

So much so that you couldn't outbid other schools for a decent QB over the offseason?

Also, very generous of your boosters to put up with paying yet another HC not to be there because money is no object.

Hugh choosing to ride with Thorne was not a money issue. Hugh is just a dumbass.

Hugh is in fact a dumbass. I also look at teams like Vandy and what happens when a team gets a gamer at QB, Cam Newton comes to mind. A lot of teams are a QB away from making waves. This offense is pathetic but I look at the fact that Auburn is relying on a Qb That doesn’t have it mixed with some skill players making mistakes. Eh, IIWIS.

NO!
Auburn and Hugh did not want a one and done QB no matter who it was. Freeze told the fans that this year was going to be tough. Stupid asses for believing otherwise.
What fools like this board and ignorant Auburn fans do not know is every damn position was depleted after Gus and Harsin.
Hugh and Auburn wisely spent money on more serious needs in last years class such as defensive line, LB, DB, offense linemen and receivers while redshirting White (top 5 QB in country last year) The QB next year will be White or 5 star Knight who is in this years class. Waste of money on one and done when your building for the future.
19-28 for 201 and 8 rushes for 35 yards for your QB and 227 total yards when averaging over 351/game against mostly freshmen (Freese recruits) who were on him the entire game.
A&M trophy case in football is an empty shelf collecting dust and has nothing to teach anyone in this conference. Fisher had 6 years at A&M dumbass!

Congrats! Enjoy the win.

I agree with you on both points. Vandy and Auburn are similar in that both programs need quality quarterback play to win most years as the rest of team is not able to overcome their deficiencies like top tier programs can. And I also agree that a generational, best in program history heisman winning player like Cam or Bo are needed for Auburn to compete at the highest level. Auburn has repeatedly shown that just having top 10 rosters isn’t enough, they also need one player that is the best in college football to win 10 or more games.

We’re stuck with Baby Hughy for at least 2 more years. We have no choice but to see if his “strategy” works out.

Yeah, I remember all those experts and Auburn fans predicting a 4 win season. It also totally excuses losing at home to Cal and the epic collapse against OU. Freeze is a genius. Don’t even try for the winnable ones and show what seems like regression in year 2, BUT secretly it is all part of a master plan. All y’all too obtuse to see this absolute masterclass of coaching need to understand that you can never understand the quantum computer level thinking of Freezus.

Not a single Auburn fan predicted Auburn would go worse than 7-5. The two most common predictions were 8-4 and 9-3.

7-5 would be considered a failure with that schedule. Really the only acceptable loss is Georgia. No LSU, Texas, Ole Miss or Tennessee and a weak non-SEC slate.
